I was on Instagram and I saw on my explore page Lily. She had a guitar in her hands and I was curious. I didn't know she could play. So I opened it to see if she was any good and to my surprise she is really good. I mean really good. Wow she's knows how to stack and everything. She was killing this cover of Too Good At Goodbyes by Sam Smith. I went to her page to look at more of her posts with covers and she looks good in a her picture too. I sent her a dm off of the cover she just posted.
Need this cover on Spotify so I can keep this song on repeat. Cover 🔥

I didn't expect her to respond back because I'm pretty sure she gets a bunch of DMs every time she posts theses. She gets a lot of views and comments. She actually ended up responding to me after she followed me. I followed her back.

Wow she wants to shed. I've never did that before with anyone else but Nini and with the theatre kids. I guess it would be cool to do it with Lily. I don't see anything wrong with us getting together to shed. I think it would be fun.

I responded back and I gave her my number so she can reach out to me whenever she wants to get together to shed.

3 Days Later

"Hey, are you ready?" Lily asked me

"Yeah, I think I got it" I responded

"Do you want to run through it one more time?" She asked

"Yeah, that's a good idea, let's try it. Can you take it from the bridge" I asked

"Yeah......you ready....1.2.3...."

"And Ive been trying but I just can't fight it,

"Wow that was a sick harmony we just did." I said excited

"I literally have goosebumps" Lily said  matching my energy

"I'm ready" I said

"Me too. Let's do this" Lily replied back excited

We were recording for about 3 hours. Lily is very good with filming herself and both of us together. She's just really good at this. She showed me some footage of some of the shots and they look really good. She made our shed into like a little music video it's really cool. I can't wait to see what it will look like when the video is finished. Lily offered to order in Chinese for both of us. I was hungry so I stayed to have take out with her. While we waited she showed me around her mini home studio. She has a lot of gear. It's pretty cool. She really loves music. She collects a lot of records and things. It's pretty cool. She also likes video games too. I would have never guessed that about her.

Once the food came we sat down and ate. I was so hungry. Both of us were. We were going in on the Chinese. It was so good. After killing the Chinese food we talked for awhile.

"The best Chinese I ever had, where did you order this from?" I asked her

"Schuezchungs. I can't believe you never had them before.They have the best Chinese food in all of Salt Lake" Lily chuckled at me not knowing them

"Wow, you are not lying" I said then I cleared my throat for a second

"Ricky I know I've said it a thousand times before but I just want you to know I really appreciate you collabing with me. You have no idea what it really means to me" Lily said appreciative

"I'm glad we did it, I had fun. Thank you for having me" I said honestly

"It's been really hard here for me lately. With like making friends and everything. I'm usually good at adjusting anywhere that I go here....it's been....very...tricky and...lonely" Lily said and I can tell she was a little sad admitting that

"Sometimes it takes time you know...I think you just have to...you know...open up a little bit more...for you know people to get to know you...and I mean the real you. You have to give people a chance. You know" I advised her

"You're right. I find it hard to communicate with people at times. I get to over excited at times.. sometimes I go too far and it comes off a certain way that's offensive, I really don't mean to be to you know be offensive or mean. When I try to apologize or fix it it just ends up being...I don't know.....not everyone is patient with people who struggle with adhd..." Lily reveals in a passing tone

"Oh" I said in a bit of shock because I didn't know she has adhd. No offense but how she acts and how she carries herself in terms of her body language, she taps a lot, she can be a bit impulsive at times. I don't know if that's all of the signs that someone has with adhd but if it is, I guess it just all adds up.

"Yeah. But hey it's my cross to bear. So" Lily said

"You don't have to do it alone." I said not really sure what to say.

"Thanks" Lily said with a smile

"I'm here for you. Just call on me whenever. I'll be there for you to you know show support...I mean it" I said seriously

"Thank you Ricky. That means a lot to me"Lily said and she leaned over towards me for a hug. It was a nice embrace and then we pulled away.

"You're the only one here that I've met that I felt safe to say that too." Lily said

"Oh yeah" I answered

"And I'm sorry for the things I've said about your friend. I really didn't mean it" Lily said

"Thank you, I'm pretty sure it will mean more if you told him directly. Big Red is one of the most understanding and the loyalist friend you could ever have in your corner." I stressed

"I will" Lily said sincerely with a smile

We talked some more. The more we talked he more I got to know her. Lily truly surprised me. I didn't expect her to be who she is. I hope me doing this collab will help Lily have more people open up to her. She really is a good person under shell.
