Luke followed Michael and Lucas as they walked up the stairs.

After the initial confusion, Luke realized he wouldn't mind learning more about werewolves from an actual werewolf. Everything he knew was from a doctor and the internet. And his doctor was only worked with one wolf in his career.

In the hospital, he was sent a pamphlet, and luckily for him, his father read it and found Mr. Clifford's number.

Michael's dad was a social worker who worked with wolves.

He visited them one day and introduced Luke to some resources and invited him and his parents to visit the boarding school.

"We're not going to a classroom?" He asked once they walked another set of stairs towards the bedrooms.

Michael stopped. "I thought it would be more comfortable if we go to my room?" It was a question and not a statement. Michael waited for Luke's reply.

"We could go to my room!" Lucas grabbed Luke's hand and started to pull him down the stairs.

Michael grabbed his other hand to stop him. "Is it clean enough?" He asked the eight-year-old with a raised eyebrow.

Lucas blushed.

"I thought so. You, Noella, and Jamie can clean the room after lunch and maybe Luke will come to read you a story after dinner."

"Will you?" Lucas looked at Luke and it would physically hurt him if he'd say no.

"Of course."

With that settled, Michael took them to his room.

It was only slightly larger than Luke's and the door that led to his room made it look even smaller. Michael didn't have a table and he sat on the armchair while Luke and Lucas took the bed.

When Luke was settled, Lucas climbed onto his lap without a word.

Michael caught Luke's gaze and smiled.

"Lucas I know Luke doesn't mind, but next time you have to ask before you make physical contact like this, okay?"

"Okay, I'm sorry, Luke."

Luke truly didn't mind but he knew Michael was teaching him a lesson so he went with it.

"Good, now, does either of you have any questions?"

Lucas raised his hand. "I do! Is Luke an alpha?"

"No, I'm not," Luke said carefully. "I wasn't born into a werewolf family, I was turned."

Before Lucas could ask more questions, questions that would possibly make Luke uncomfortable.

"One day," He said to Lucas, "You will be able to tell wolved apart just by smell. But that will happen in your teenage years. Right now, your hearing is your most important sense. You also have to eat all your vegetable to ensure your eyes will work good as well."

"Luke," Michael turned his attention to him. "Can you maybe take a guess what Lucas is?"

He knew this was an invitation to try and use his wolf senses to solve the mystery or just guess. Whatever he wanted to do.
