The next morning, the boys walked downstairs holding hands.

Luke let go of Michael before they stepped into the dining room but all the older kids were grinning.

"Finally," Freddie mumbled with a mouth full of cereal, Neil raised an eyebrow and the twins said nothing.

"What are you talking about?" Luke asked as he hugged and kissed Lucas, Noelle and Jamie.

Rue laughed. "We can smell the difference, stupid."

Michael elbowed her for calling him stupid but otherwise ignored the conversation.

"We can feel that you are happier," Bea tried to explain. "And Mr. Grumpy over here isn't so grumpy anymore." She nodded towards Michael.

"Stop looking at us like that," Neil commented. "We're happy for you. But remember the walls aren't thick enough for our werewolf hearing."

Luke sat down, his face blushed pink from the attention, just as Michael's mother walked into the room.

"Mum, Luke and I are going to the city today. I want to show him around the university, we'll be back tomorrow after lunch."

Luke blushed even harder when he noticed Mrs. Clifford's knowing gaze. "As long as both of you do your schoolwork, I am okay with it."

After lunch, Luke was done with classes and he took his homework with him, wishfully thinking he'll have time to do it in the car.

Finally alone, Michael and Luke spent the entire ride holding hands and talking.

It was different than their talks before. Michael was more relaxed and Luke felt more comfortable asking questions. He learned Michael inherited a piece of land from his grandfather and that he was saving money to renovate the small house, where his father grew up.

Luke told Michael about growing up with two older brothers and the awkward phase he had spent in the closet.

"I always knew," Michael told him. "Kissing girls didn't even occur to me, that's why I was always confused when anyone commented that things will never work out between me and Ashley because we're both alphas."

"How old were you when you first kissed a boy?"

Michael blushed. "A year ago? I kissed a few since at college parties but it's hard to find boyfriends in the middle of the forest."

"Not impossible." Luke smiled.

"Yeah," Michael grinned at him. "Not impossible."

When they finally arrived, they only had time for a quick bite before Michael took Luke to one of his classes.

"I remember the last time I was here. I was so nervous."

"I was so confused," Michael commented. "I could sense you were near and that you were in trouble, but I had no idea why you'd be here. You're not nervous now, are you?"
