???'s POV:

"You really came, my old friend," I smirked, as my butler handed me a folder.

A young girl then stepped out of the shadows with a sullen look on her face. "What do you want? Just so you know, I don't see the point as to why I was invited in this fucking shit of an event." She glared as she crossed her arms. I then smiled as I closed my eyes, "Oh it's nothing much, I just thought that you would be the most perfect person to do this small favor of mine." I smirked. I then opened my eyes to see her cackle, "Surely, you must be out of your mind! Haven't you forgot? After you threw me away years ago, you suddenly want me to do another stupid favor of yours? I would never forgive you for doing that to me!" She shouted as she stomped her foot.

"Miss, the others might hear us--" My butler nervously laughed.

"Ugh, so what? I don't care! And especially for that fucking favor of yours! So tell your fucking guard to stop blocking my way! I'm leaving this place!" She yelled. "Sure, but if you go now... you won't get another chance like this again," I said with a grin, resting my cheek on my hand. She then looked at me for a moment before she laughed again, "Don't make me laugh! I bet that you don't even know what I want--!"

"I know you want to be Sonic's fiancé again," I smirked.

I then saw her eyes widen as she yelled, "What!?" I then threw the folder in front of her, intentionally making the papers inside it spread out on the ground. "I know you well, friend. You want money and power right? And you know that only I can give you this kind of chance to turn your whole life around again." I said, as my mouth curved into a smile. Another butler of mine then offered me a glass of wine, and I smiled at the thought that she is really the most suitable pawn to execute this plan. Using her greed for power and money, she can be easily manipulated like this. "Such a waste of that beautiful face." I thought as I grinned.

She then dropped to the ground as she began to scan the papers one by one. Seeing her this desperate... it's so amusing. "If you don't want to, I'll just look for another person--" I sighed, beginning to walk away.

"Stop!"

And I did stop walking and smiled with satisfaction that she finally fell for my bait.

"I'll... I'll do it!" She answered.

Sonic's POV:

7:25 pm | 24 minutes left until the start of the Ceremony

"Is my son ready?" I heard a familiar voice ask, followed by the sound of a door closing.

Since I was facing the large mirror, I can see that my Dad had just walked into the room. "He's almost ready Sir, we'll just need to do another round of touch-up for the last time." Miss Red said as she bowed to my father with a smile. My father then nodded, "I see. Somehow, seeing my son prepare for his engagement ceremony takes me back to when I was also preparing for mine." My father chuckled as he walked up to me before going to my side. "You sound like an oldie." I sighed, making my dad laugh as he patted my back. "It's good that I only sound like one. In fact, I have to thank this face of mine for making me look younger than my age." My father smirked, as he fixed his suit up a bit. I then rolled my eyes, "Sure, sure."

A girl then went to my side and started adding a bit of powder on my face, I groaned and tried to avoid the powder brush. But another assistant came and lightly held my head in place, making the girl who was putting on powder on my face smile in delight. I sighed, annoyed that I have to wear makeup when I don't even need it in the first place. "Sonic, stop making them have a hard time." My father scolded. As soon as the girl was done putting powder on my face, I then looked myself at in the mirror and frowned as I saw my face covered in powder. "I don't even need to wear makeup. Plus, it feels heavy on the face." I frowned, checking my skin out in the mirror. I then heard Miss Red giggle, "Oh, don't be dramatic. We only put a little bit of powder on you and nothing else." My Dad also joined in as he laughed, "Right. Be thankful that I gave you that face. Since this kind of face would never need any makeup to look good. I still remember that time when I was still preparing for my engagement ceremony with your mother, the glam team didn't even put any makeup on my face. So that's why--" I then interrupted my Dad as I rolled my eyes, "Dad, your ego is so much higher than the Burj Khalifa." I sneered, rolling my eyes at him.
