Chapter 36 | 'Catching Up'

Sonic's POV:

The day ended with me going to the teacher's office to submit a project. Once I handed it over, the teacher smiled as he placed it on top of the other stack of papers sitting at the side of his desk. I thanked him first before I left the office, feeling the tiredness come back to me as I made my way back to my classroom. When I got there, I was surprised to see that Amy was still there, sitting quietly beside my seat as she played her MOBA game.

Confused, I made my way to her and started fixing my things. "Why are you still here? Your dad is about to get you-" She then interrupted me, "Don't you remember? Your siblings would be coming over, and they just called me to say that we would go out for a bit." Huh? Called?

"How did they know your number?" I asked as I stopped fixing my things.

"Your mom," Amy bluntly said before she turned her phone off.

"....."

"......."

Oh, I forgot how my mom basically knows every piece of information. I sighed, "Well then, let's go." I carried my bag on one shoulder before we stepped out of the classroom to go to the exit. As soon as we stepped outside, I immediately saw a white Mercedes parked in front, and I smiled as I saw the two figures inside waving at us. "There they are." I smiled, as we headed our way to them. Immediately, Sonia hopped out of the car in a hurry before she hurriedly ran up to us with a big smile. "Oh! Look at you two! By the way, I'm Sonia! Sonic's sister! You already know me, but I'm just gonna introduce myself to you again." Sonia exclaimed as she shook hands with Amy. 

"And I'm Manic, Sonic's brother," Manic said with a calm voice as he also shook hands with Amy. "Nice to meet you two! You three do exactly look alike! Well, almost." Amy nodded. "I thought you two are just joking that you're gonna be here as soon as you arrived?" I asked as I raised my brow. "Well, after drinking three cups of coffee... we weren't that tired anymore." Manic chuckled, scratching his head. I just nodded, thinking that maybe it wasn't that necessary to ask more questions. "So what are we waiting for? Let's go! I really want to go to that new mall near the plaza!" Sonia babbled as all of us went in the car. I and Amy sat at the back while Manic and Sonia at the front, of course, Sonia would be the one to drive since it would be dangerous if Manic does. 

"Mall? Are you sure? The two of you are celebrities, a lot of people would quickly surround us. Especially when I'm with the two of you." I asked as Sonia started to drive. "Of course, I already rented the floor that I want to go to!" Sonia exclaimed with a wink. I responded with an "Oh", but in the corner of my eye, I could see Amy's shocked face when she heard what Sonia said. "What? Is that even possible? A whole floor? Just for you to shop?" Amy mumbled, it was clear that she was really in shock. We could see Sonia smile and nod, "Yup! A whole floor just for me and my sister-in-law!" When she mentioned the last part, my eyes widened and I was about to say something but just brushed it off. Remembering that yes, I am engaged with Amy. So she is Sonia and Manic's sister-in-law.

I sighed and looked at the view, we were already on the bridge and the sun was already getting to where I was looking at. The car is open, so the wind was very refreshing as Sonia drove fast to the mall she wanted to go to. As soon as we arrived, a personal guard escorted us to the floor Sonia rented. When we got on the floor, Sonia immediately took Amy's hand as she led Amy to the shops the floor has, leaving me and Manic to decide on what we would do for the time being. "It's so surprising to see Sonia so excited to bring Amy to the shops, did something happen?" I asked Manic as we walked into an instrument store. Manic looked at me with an amused face before he laughed, "Of course she would, you finally have a fiance that's not boring."
