Sonic's POV:

[ 10:00 AM ]

"Hey wake up." I heard someone said. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a pink hedgehog frowning at me, she was holding a book. I sat up straight and stretched my arms out, "How long was I asleep?" I asked her. She sighed, "About 30 minutes, luckily the teachers didn't seem to mind."

I nodded, I was still sleepy even though I took a nap just now. I looked around the library, the other students were studying quietly and even playing games secretly under the table. "This is boring." I muttered, scrolling through my phone. "It is, but here I am.. studying." Amy responed. I chuckled and look at her smugly, "Should have started before school started."

She rolled her eyes at me, "Summer is for enjoying things. Studying isn't part in that."

"Well, you are right. But what can you do in a boring summer?" I asked, as I leaned back on my chair. "Um.. hello? It's summer? You can basically do anything! Swim at the beach, enjoy the sun, shop, and hang out with your friends." Amy said with a smile.

I didn't respond and just kept on looking at my phone, anyways, what can I even share when in fact all I did during summer was read my textbooks and post picures on my social medias? I set my phone aside and looked out the window, we were in the highest floor of the building so you can easily see the small part of the city.

"How about you? What did you do--"

"Nothing." I muttered.

Even though I was looking out the window, I can tell that she's looking at me in shock or with a suprised look on her face. I heard her close her book and slightly moved forward to where she can safely whisper. "But according to my friends, they expected your summer to be the best since you have everything." Amy whispered. I looked at her and smiled, "Well... not everything."

I think she was about to say something else, but she just nodded and sat up straight again. "Sorry.. about that." Amy said. I looked at her, suprised to hear her say sorry. But I could tell that the mood wasn't meant to be joking around, so I hesitated and just shrugged. "You don't need to say sorry, you already met my family so you can tell how my summer went." I told her.

She was quiet for a moment, and so I assumed she finally had enough of asking me questions and talking with me just like every other person. So I also went quiet and just looked at my ring, checking it out. "I want to know how you were able to pull it off, how to perfectly achieve everyone's expectations of you." She mumbled.

....

"It must have been hard." She added.

I looked at her in shock, but like everytime, I just scoffed and looked away. "You don't know what it's like, so stop feeling sorry for me." I scowled at her, and I saw her flinched. "Oh.. right." Amy mumbled. The bell rang, signaling that the study session is now finished. I quickly grabbed my things and told Amy to put my book back in my locker, I didn't gave her a chance to answer and just walked out of the library.

There were a couple of people whispering, but I can't blame them. My face has a frown on it as I passed by them.

[ 4:35 PM ]

"Good job today team!" Our coach praised, as he walked up to us. The rest of my team clapped their hands and gave each other high-fives, but I didn't join them and just waved at the coach and went to the showers. "That Sonic dude is so prideful, he always thinks that he's better than us just because he's from the 'Mexuis' family." I heard my teammates whisper to each other.

I ignored, there's no use in arguing with people who steps dirt on others. I undressed myself and showered, the cold water always helps me calm my mind. My watch buzzed and I looked at it to see what it was buzzing for, turns out my driver is already in front of the gates. I quickly finished showering and dressing up before I grabbed my bag from my locker and left the field.

It was already late, and there were fewer students as usual. I was about to step out of the gates when I heard my name being called. "Sonic! Hey Sonic!" A person called. I turned around to see a girl running up to me with a smile. I didn't know her and have never seen her around in school either, she finally catch up to me and panted for air before she looked at me with a big smile.

"Uh- so I just want to ask you to meet me at rooftop tomorrow at lunch! I want to ask you something really important!" The girl mumbled. She then handed me a pink letter, and I looked at it before I sighed. "What's the letter for?" I asked her. She looked at me in suprise, she looks really red.

"U-um... it's for you so you won't forget to meet me tomorrow." The girl said. I was hesitant to take it, but I know that I didn't have time to make a choice now. So I just annoyingly took it and went inside my limo without a word. I threw my bag on the seats and sat beside it, and the letter.. I just threw it on the table.

"Another admirer of yours, Young Sir?" The driver asked me. I nodded, "I think so.. I hate following them around just to hear them ask me the same question again." The driver chuckled, "You should already be used to it, afterall, most students there admire you." I scoffed and played with my phone, as the driver closed the window that seperates the driver's seat and the passenger seat.

A few minutes later, I finally arrived in front of the manor. And there at the front door, was my Mom waiting for me with a maid beside her. I sighed, what does she want from me now? I stepped out of my limo and walked up the stairs. I stood in front of her and bowed, "Good evening mom, were you waiting for me?" I asked politely. As much as I hate acting like a goody-two shoes, my mom would always scold me and compare me to her other friend's sons.

"Very good, you arrived early today. How was your day in school?" She asked, as she snapped her fingers for the butler to open the door. The maid followed us closely behind, and my mom walked beside me as she escorted me inside the manor. "It's... okay." I muttered. It was very uncomfortable, it was my first time to experience my mom walking by my side.

"Okay is good, and I assume that you also did well on your quizzes?" She asked again. I just nodded, I don't wanna talk to her since it seems she wants me to do something again. "Well then, I waited for you because my friend is having a party in a hotel. She rented it out for the night, party is on friday night." My mom informed, as she handed me a card.

"What's this?" I asked her. She gave me a grin, "It's a secret party only for the most influential people, so it's very strict when it comes to its guests." I looked at the card, it was a black holographic card and gray letters were on it. Ender Card. I nodded and put it inside my pocket, "Okay."

She gave me another grin before she and her maid walked away, I immediately went inside my room. Once I got inside, I threw my things on my chair and sat on my bed. Another party with my mom's closest friends? Maybe this time, I could find some clues unlike last time. I grabbed the card my mom gave me and looked at it, nothing seems to be weird here and even on the inside.

.....

"I should contact %$&#." I thought, dialing the number on my watch.
