"Well hello there... Scarlette." I greeted, but surely not in a friendly way.

She then looked at Amy with a smile, "My, who are you? You look so... pretty." Amy and I exchanged glances for a moment before she laughed awkwardly and nodded. "Thank you, you too though!" She answered. But Scarlette ignored Amy and just went to my mother, smiling and laughing with her as she left Amy and also me stunned. Amy sighed, "Well, she certainly... is friendly." I chuckled, "Don't mind her, she has always been like that." Amy rolled her eyes at me and sighed before she started to walk away, I was surprised and followed her in response.

"Hey, where are you going?" I asked, walking ahead of her.

"I want to go home, obviously. I can't stand people like her, and you letting it go easily." Amy complained as she stopped walking. I looked at her for a second before I hysterically laugh, "Me? Letting her get what she wants? Are you kidding me?" Amy glared, "Well, it's true that both of you do have the same personality. But it's annoying, she reminds me of the people I know back in England- "

Amy then stopped talking as I saw her eyes widened, I looked at her in confusion. "Amy? Hello?" I called, waving my hand in front of her. She then snapped out of it and laughed, "Oh? Sorry! The heat must be getting to me..." I looked at her in worry, "Are you sure? Want me to accompany you to the clinic?" I asked. She shook her head, "No I'm fine, let's just... go back to our parents." She said before she turned around and started walking back.

I watched her walk her way back to our parents, who were busy chatting with the other people at the party. And I was confused, did something bad happen to her back in England?

Amy's POV:

"Dear? Did something happen? You looked quite pale..." My mom asked. I shook my head in response and smiled, "No, I'm fine." My mother smiled and caressed my cheek, "I hope I didn't upset you too much Ames, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you sooner." I forced a smile, "It's not your fault, Mom. It's just the way it is, it's life." She nodded, "You're right. Want to see your father play archery instead?" I nodded, "Yeah, I'll like that."

"And where's your fiance?" My mom asked, looking back. I guess she saw Sonic and immediately invited him over, and I then felt Sonic's presence beside me. "Sonic, do you want to join us? I and Amy were just about to go see her father play archery." My mom asked Sonic. I didn't look at him because I felt awkward about what I accidentally told him earlier.

"That would be nice," Sonic answered. While walking there, I felt someone nudge my arm, and to my surprise, it was Sonic. "Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you any questions." He whispered.

I felt my body feel a little bit lighter, and I gave him a small smile. "Thanks," I whispered back, to which he responds with a nod and smile. We have now arrived at the place and there are already a lot of people waiting for the game to start, and there were quite a lot of people. We sat in the front, and of course, the Engaged protocol we have to follow is that we must sit beside each other for the whole game.

40 minutes into the game, and everything seems to be going well... or maybe not.

"Woah! That's going to hurt!" The announcer exclaimed. And it does look like it hurts, one of the players accidentally touched the tip of the arrow with his hand. Although it wasn't that serious, since luckily he didn't push his hand quite further. "Lucky guy," I whispered, as I glanced at Sonic. My eyes widened, he was looking away from the scene while also covering his face with a handkerchief.

I touched his shoulder and leaned forward, "Hey Sonic, is everything okay?" He moved the handkerchief a little to where I could only see his face, "Y-yeah... I'm fine." I looked at him confused since It was my first time seeing him like this. But I brushed it off, particularly there are also people who are afraid of cuts.
