Chapter 51 | 'In my Arms'

Sonic's POV:

"Ha... I'm tired." I sighed.

I spent an entire hour, greeting and entertaining the guests she brought to me to entertain along with her. Now that I'm finally alone, the first thing I want to do is to find Amy before we'll both go to Sally and Scourge to hang for the rest of the night. But as I walked around to find her, she was actually nowhere to be seen. Now standing on where I last saw her, I looked around once again to try to find the pink hedgehog I'm looking for. But she was still nowhere to be seen. I sighed as several awful thoughts went in my head about where she is right now and ignored it, I know that she isn't that naivé to put herself in danger easily. Although there was this one time where a van was following her... fuck. 

"Hello, did you see my fiancé?" I asked, flashing my signature smile. But the woman just shook her head to me before bowing to me with a smile along with her friends who were with her, "I'm sorry sir Sonic, we weren't paying attention to our surroundings very much." I sighed and thanked them with a smile before walking away and looking around the place again, but to my disappointment, I still can't find her. Numerous thoughts then began to fill up my mind again, and all of it leads to the same idea that she must actually be in grave danger right now that's why I can't find her in this place. I then looked up to the roof and saw the eyes of the agents of the enemy organization, my eyes met theirs and I glared. Amazingly, they responded by also glaring at me back. "No, if she must be in grave danger by now... my agents would have notified me right away." I thought, continuing my search for Amy. 

"But... what if she really is in danger right now?"

Those words still lingered around my head while I was trying to find Amy, and while also hoping that it wasn't true. 

I then tapped an old man's shoulder to which he hurriedly turned around in surprise, I smiled at him before asking, "Hello, did you see my fiancé by any chance around here?" The old man wasn't familiar, but I could tell that he must be one of Sally's competitors in their business. "Oh yes, I have! The last I saw her was that she was talking to Miss Acorn and Sir 'Velli'." He said. I felt my heart jump a little in happiness, and I quickly thanked him before I hurriedly walked to where I saw Sally and Scourge earlier. Once I saw them again, they were already beside the desserts table, eating and talking to each other. "It's weird to see you guys hang out..." I grinned, hands in my pockets as I approached them. Scourge then rolled his eyes before saying, "Cut the bullshit, I was just here eating quietly when this bitch started to talk to me." But Sally wasn't bothered by Scourge calling her a bitch and just laughed, "Actually, he was the one who started telling me all kinds of facts about cars when I have just arrived. You should have seen the look on his face earlier when he was describing the parts of cars he liked so much!" I then saw Scourge glare at Sally with his cheeks getting pinker as time goes by, making me also laugh. 

"Anyways, did you guys know where Amy is?" I asked, hoping that at least they have an idea of where she went.

But to my surprise, the two of them just shrugged their shoulders in unison. 

"Sorry, but we didn't see where she went since our parents immediately called us over to greet some people they know..." Sally sighed as she shook her head, to which Scourge also nodded in agreement. I then felt my watch vibrate so I quickly look to see who it was from, and I immediately felt grateful that it was Violet. 

Violet: Sir, I saw black smoke coming out from one of the upper rooms of the villa we're in. And two men from the enemy organization carrying someone. 

And at that point, I have completely lost it. Fear struck inside me, and I felt my heart sink when I heard them say that. Without even saying another word to Sally and Scourge, I then began to run towards the exit in panic. I was so stupid to think that I can just find her in the venue when there's also a possibility that she went back up to her room! And the person that two of the guys from the enemy organization are carrying right now is probably Amy! I pushed myself to the other guests who were blocking my way to the exit, ignoring their reactions and remarks about me. If only I didn't follow my mom's orders earlier, Amy would still be by my side. She would still be safe and in front of me...
