Chapter 63 | The End

We finally made it to the top floor after engaging in combat with three more groups of guards. From the time of her kidnapping until what Albion told her only a few hours ago, Amy told me it all. I'll be completely honest: I did not believe her at all when she told me Albion's narrative about how he and Amy are genuinely linked in some way. But when Amy told me about Albion, it started to make more sense to me. Since Amy is the owner of the ring that may make Albion King, it made sense as to why he has only been interested in her from the beginning. Even going so far as to kidnap Amy. I questioned Amy, "But why isn't he King yet? He's got the ring." She just answered, "I don't really know. Maybe he hasn't accomplished something else.." she shrugged her shoulders.

We immediately heard sounds from a distance, I was about to ignore it as nothing since hearing gunshots aren't that unusual around here. However, I was quickly proven wrong as Tails immediately called for my attention to look at something. He faced his computer to me and showed me footage from an agent's camera that showed Albion and his thugs standing in the middle of the Kingdom with a number of rifles. I murmured, "Fuck, that's why it's so suspiciously quiet inside the building." I started to smash the window, and was about to break another window when Amy grabbed my hands and said, "Stop! What the hell are you doing?!" But I saw the baton she was holding and used it to break the jagged edges of the glass I had broke before I carried Amy and leaped down, saying, "Don't worry, this will be quicker than taking the stairs." 

She tried to stop me because she was horrified, but we had already started to descend. Because it wasn't that high up, but I didn't want Amy to get wounded, I just allowed her to give me a tight hug as I safely landed on my knees. Violet carried Tails down as the other Agents followed. In order to prevent any future casualties, Tails then advised the others to head to Albion's location as soon as possible. When we arrived, Albion was already assaulting a number of Palace Guards and bystanders while imposing his authority on everyone. An older woman in front of him said, "Albion, stop this madness at once!" as Palace Guards stood by her side. Albion taunted her, "Or what? This ring gives me the authority to be the King of this land! You are just a regent, isn't that right?" Albion didn't listen, though, and simply kept laughing at the poor man getting beaten up by his goons.

"Yes, it is indeed true that the Royal seal indeed gives you the right to be King. But it does not mean it will give you the right to beat up other people! We made adjustments to the law involving the ring years ago, in case the Royal seal is in the hands of someone like you."

The regent yelled at Albion, "In this case, someone would only be the ruler of this Kingdom if their subjects recognize them as their ruler. But you are not! And you will never, ever be recognized as our King!" When I saw Albion was about to shoot her, I then shot his rifle, making Albion even angrier as he looked my way. "Well, well, well! I guess your Prince Charming finally saved you! But I'm sorry, I'm feeling a bit angrier today!" Albion exclaimed before he vanished and suddenly reappeared in front of Amy. I then shielded Albion's attack, which made him back away from the impact. "Fucking get out of my way Sonic! Or else I'm gonna bomb this place right now--" 

Before he was about to say anything more, Amy suddenly appeared behind him and hit him on the head with a hammer. I then blocked Albion's strike, causing him to retreat from the blow. "Fucking get out of my way Sonic! Or else I'm gonna bomb this place right now--" Before he could continue, Amy suddenly appeared behind him and struck him on the head with a hammer. Albion was fully knocked out as a result, crashing into a nearby stall. I was so in awe of Amy that I forgot about Albion's henchmen that were trying to attack me. Amy smiled at me and said, "He'll get up soon. But don't get in my way, I'll be the one to beat the shit out of him this time!" As Albion rushed toward Amy, she then prepared to fight again.
