(Explanation) Birthmark and the Prophecy

"Here," Mary said as her butler placed a big black bag on top of the table. The old woman then looked at Mary and asked, "What is the meaning of this?" The old woman was actually a shaman and is famous in the city for her righteous predictions for the last couple of years. And this old woman was what Mary actually needed before actually starting her plan.

"One hundred thousand dollars for fabricating something for me. Well, if you are willing to." Mary smirked as she sat across from the shaman.

The shaman looked shocked as she then checked the bag, and it did have a lot of money—the same amount Mary just said. "Do you know the possibility of our names being ruined if someone found this out?" The shaman asked Mary. But Mary didn't seem to mind and still looked confident as she laughed, "No one will ever know this. Don't worry, Madam."

After staring at the money for a while, she looked up at Mary with a grin. "So what do you want me to fabricate?" She asked Mary, to which Mary then smiled.

"I want you to tell everyone about a prophecy. Make it about a blue and pink hedgehog that needs to wed to make our city safe from floods and earthquakes," Mary told her. The shaman looked at her in shock once again as she stuttered, "A prophecy? Why would you need that? And besides, it's harder to lie to thousands of people with this. Don't you think it's nonsense?" But Mary only laughed, "Madam, do you really think it's nonsense? You are the esteemed shaman; after all, they would always believe your predictions. So why won't they believe in this prophecy?"

The shaman only grinned; after all, it was her first time coming across a character like Mary. She then accepted the deal, and soon news spread quickly about the prophecy, much to Mary's delight. On the day when the Mexuis and Rosetta families got together on the yacht, she then told the prophecy to Amy's parents after Sonic and Amy went off. Amy's parents weren't convinced at first, but it was only when Mary and Amy's parents visited the shaman that they finally believed it. And the prophecy wasn't the only thing Mary prepared for her plan; she also went as far as to make a fake birthmark for Sonic. Since she said it with much confidence, everyone then came to believe her lies. And that's when she knew that everything was now going according to plan, just as she wished.
