Later that evening...
Sonic's POV:
I want to scream at the people in front of me, so much.. but there's a reason why I can't. "Goodbye everyone! Hope you had a great evening!" My mom chirped, waving at the leaving guests goodbye. "Oh Jen, it was so nice of you to help us organize this party. Without you, we would be too busy to even make this happen." My father said to Miss 'Barington', the host of the party.
"Oh you! Even as we began to grow older, you still make my heart flutter as always!" Miss 'Barington' exclaimed.
Amy was beside me, drinking a bottle of water and holding a napkin since earlier she was puking so much. Rest assured, she didn't puke in front of the guests though. "Anyway, I must get going now. Wouldn't want to disturb the newly engaged couple!" Miss 'Barington' smirked, before she left with William and her husband. After they've gone far enough, my Mom and Dad faced us with one expression, a satisfied grin.
"Are you guys happy now? Did you two got what you wanted?" I yelled at the both of them. "Shut up Sonic! Don't speak to us in that tone!" My father snapped. "Oh so now you want me to speak in a respectful manner? When you two just always decide who I'm going to be engaged with every time??" I snapped back.
"Aren't you my parents?? Why did you sell me off again? Especially to her??" I yelled. "Sell you off?" My mom asked, as she walked up towards me with a frown. "You think that we are that low to sell you off? We're not some lowly commoner to sell you off, we are an influential family. If we have decided to sell you off... well getting rid of you is a better idea." My mom told me with a scowl on her face.
I flinched and I gripped my knuckles, trying to stay calm. "Then why did you two decide for me to be engaged again? Haven't I already told you two that to stop playing the match maker already?" I asked her, anger in my voice. "Match maker? Sonic we are deciding for your future! Amy is the most suitable girl for you!" My father yelled. My mother patted my dad's shoulder, and my dad looked at her before he sighed. "The two of us will go first... of course since you two need to get some things cleared up." My father said, before he and my mom walked out of the hotel.
I growled and gritted my teeth before I punched the column beside me, "Fuck!" I shouted.
I went silent for a moment, before I walked up to Amy. I saw her looked at me with scared eyes as I stood in front of her, the anger clear on my face. "Wha-what?" Amy mumbled. I gripped her wrist tightly, "You must think that you're so clever of hiding things from me? I thought you understood me, but in the end you just became a pawn of my parents!" I yelled at her. She flinched and tried to escape from my grip, "You're misunderstanding this Sonic! My mom just told me to attend and I didn't know that you're going to be here- "
Without me knowing, I suddenly slapped her with no intention of doing so.
Once I realized what I have done, I looked at her with a shocked face. "Am-Amy. I didn't mean to slap you- ". I was then cut off by a painful slap from Amy, as I saw her tears running down her cheeks. "You fool! You always think that the reason I approached your family is for money! To clarify, no I don't want your filthy money! And second, did you even think I knew all of this? You didn't even bother to try to understand my side and just started accusing me of those things!" Amy shouted.
"You asshole." She muttered, before she walked away.
I just stood there, dumbfounded and in shock of what I had just done. But my pride got the better of me, and I tried to get back at her. "Fine! You think I'm an asshole? Go then! The only thing that mouth of yours can do is to bawl like a baby!" I shouted back before I started to walk away. She's so annoying. So rude. So insensitive... but instead I'm just describing myself. And I don't want to go home today, I don't want to see their faces. Should probably force my driver to drive me to a nearby hotel, or somewhere far from this mess.
