Sonic's POV:

"The first day, complete," I muttered to myself while walking to the Manor's front doors. A butler then opened the door for me, which I gladly walk in. Our school is weird, right? We take quizzes on the first day, but it mostly depends on the subject teachers if they want us to take one. Our subject teacher would email us the topic and we would study for a week before we would be able to take the quiz. And today's quiz is Math. 

I was looking at my test paper, and I looked up to see my mother. She was crossing her arms with a scowl on her face. "Sonic, how did the test go?" I held my breath as I gave her my test paper, she stood there as she examined my paper. "Was it easy?" I heard my mother asked, looking at me with her brow raised. I nodded, "Yeah, I managed to make it before the bell rang-" 

"Just extra five points? Surely, you can do better than that." She said, before throwing the paper in front of me. She then walked away, the sound of her heels turning to a faint sound as I saw her turn to another hallway. I gritted my teeth and picked my paper up, "Yeah, I can do better." I went to my room, my eyes teary. Once I was inside my room, I stayed there, crying silently knowing that nothing will ever change in this family.

Amy's POV:

On the day she died, she told me one more thing...,

"Keep it close to your heart. For I will be with you always, watching, and guiding you on whatever problem you come across."

I held my ring up in the air and looked at it, I don't know why she gave this to me, but all I know that this is precious to her. So I'll treasure it and do my best to keep it safe all the time.

"Amy, how did your math test go?" My dad asked, opening the door at the back of the car. Me and my mother waited inside the car as he bought groceries for tomorrow's breakfast since he wanted to cook breakfast instead of our maid. "It went well, I didn't get a perfect score though. But I still got the 3rd highest score in the class!" I cheered. My mom then giggled, "Anyways, where shall we head tonight?" We can celebrate this!"

"Pizza!" I suggested, making my parents laugh. "Pizza it is! Head to the nearest pizza place!" My dad chirped.

"Ammmyyyy!" A voice called, gaining my attention. I then turned around to see Cream, "Wanna know who's my partner in our study session?" She smirked.

"Who? Is it Tails, the handsome and one of the smartest guys around?" I teased. Her face turned bright red as she looked away, "Ye-yeah. But I didn't say that!" Cream mumbled, flustered. The two of us then laughed together, while heading to our lockers.

*RING!* *RING!*

"Class, please settle down now." The teacher said, looking out for the trouble-makers. "We don't have class today, as some of you--"

"Oh Yeah, Dude! We could play basketball all day!" The red hedgehog [Named Dexter], exclaimed as he stood up from his seat. "Mr. 'Den', I would reconsider organizing that plan of yours somewhere else." The teacher said, glaring at him.

Dexter then sat back down, embarrassed. The rest of the class laughed, and I giggled at what he did. "Okay, now that's out of the way. I'll hand out these separate sheets for all of you. And remember, this is used for studying, not for fooling around inside the library!" She said while handing the sheets out.
