Amy's POV:

'Rosetta Manor' | 6:40 PM | Friday

"There are probably a hundred different hairstyles to try on me but you ended up choosing this?" I groaned, looking at myself at the mirror. The hair stylist that Sonic's mother sent me was trying her best to work with my thin hair, adding some hair extensions and bobby pins to the side.

My mom giggled, "It's the trendiest hairstyle for this season, of course I'll choose this!"

I chuckled and watched the hair stylist pinned the last bobby pin in my hair and smiled at me, "There! All done!" My mom thanked her with a big smile as the hair stylist started to pack up her things. I looked at myself once again, my hair was in a tight ponytail but not all of it. It looks cute.

My mom went up to me and showed me an emerald gold-encrusted earring, I smiled and took it from her and wore it. "The only thing I hope for is that the dress won't be very tight like last time." I said, as I stood up to go the bathroom to change. My mom assisted me in putting on the dress, and boy will I tell you. ITS TIGHT!

"The heck! I think I won't fit in this!" I complained, as I tried to suck in to let the dress fit. My mom giggled and happily put it on me without any sympathy, while I was there trying my best to make the dress fit. But after my mom put it on me, it surprisingly fitted me this time. "Woah, didn't expect that." I muttered.

"Well, Zoe made sure to make this dress comfortable for you. But last time was different since she didn't exactly know your measurements so I helped out a bit." My mom chirped, adjusting my hair and dress. "And we're done! Remember, enjoy the party and if you ever run into trouble, just go to Sonic--"

I looked at her with disgust and interrupted her, "No thanks, I'll be fine by my own. And I doubt that he'll even be there at the party." My mom rolled her eyes with a smirk and handed me my card, "Anyways, here you go. Put it between your boobs." I shaked my head and lifted up my skirt and slid it in my thigh bracelet, "Just kidding." My mom giggled to which I rolled my eyes and gave her a smile.

She escorted me outside to where we would wait for Sonic's parents to arrive before she and dad went on to their event. A black limo arrived shortly and out comes Sonic's mom, dazzling with jewels. She was shining so brightly that it kinda made my eyes hurt, but I shrugged it off and happily greeted Sonic's mom before we made our way to the party.

When I got in, the first I saw was two huge Louie Vuitton boxes on the side of Sonic's father. I was in awe as I sat across him, followed by Sonic's mom sitting beside him. "You look so stunning! I'm glad that I was right in picking the color!" Sonic's mother gushed. "Thank you, Miss 'Mexuis'. But without your generosity, I wouldn't be here.. going to such an exclusive party." I replied in a polite manner, as I also bowed my head a bit.

"Ah, no need to be formal with us. Just treat us like we're family." Sonic's father smiled. He looks a lot like Sonic, but his eyes definitely came from his mother. "Of course, Sir Lucas." I replied, as I gave him a warm smile. "Say, I'm excited for tonight's event." Sir Lucas said, as he looked at Sonic's mom. "Well, I suppose.. it is an exciting event." She smiled as she looked at me with a smirk.

I raised my brow in confusion as the both of them exchanged glances at me and at each other, I then cleared my throat and smiled. "What event is it?" I asked, showing my interest of the subject. Sonic's father smiled, as he took a sip of his wine before he said.

"Someone's getting engaged."
