"It's your voice, your smile, your eyes... everything makes you beautiful in my eyes. That's why I wasn't able to stop thinking about you."

Sonic actually confessed to me his feelings, and while I might get all shy about it, I also felt unsure of whether I should respond. As much as I try to hide it, I think I'm already starting to develop some feelings for him. But if you ask me, I think something's telling me that I should probably resolve some issues first before answering him. And one of those issues is his mental health, with the way he deals with the death of his Aunt, he should really be getting help from a professional. But now I'm starting to wonder why his parents didn't bother to do so when it could really impact his performance of being their family's heir.
Suddenly, I felt someone tap my shoulder, making me jump in surprise as I held my spoon tightly with my eyes wide open. "Amy, are you okay?" My dad asked as he looked at me with concern. I smiled, "Well of course I'm fine. Why did you ask?" He then chuckled as he pointed to my plate, "Well, you have been picking on your plate since earlier. You must have been in deep thought for you to ignore your favorite dish..." Oops, I must have made them worried. I then started to eat my dinner again, eager to finish as soon as I can to finish my homework before getting back to how I should deal with Sonic. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my mom staring at me. "What's up Mom? Is something wrong?" I asked her. Just like me earlier, she flinched in surprise also when I asked her before she shook her head with a smile. "Nothing dear, I was just wondering if you and Sonic finally made up? You look quite happy compared to before." She said. I smiled, "Well yes, we finally made up earlier."
"That's good." My mother muttered before she continued eating her dinner.
Although the three of us talked happily during dinner, I couldn't help but look at my mother from time to time. Maybe it's because I felt uneasy, or maybe I think she was hiding something from me. Either way, it was not my business. And soon, I finally finished eating dinner.
An hour later, I was already down to two homework left. Eager to finish as soon as I can, I didn't even hear my mother knock on my door. I quickly opened the door and let her in, "Do you need something, Mom?" I asked her with a smile. She smiled back as she sat on my bed, "Well, I just want to discuss some things with you. But I think you're busy..." She muttered as she looked at my messy desk full of clutter. I shake my head, "Not at all. What is it that you want to discuss?" She then looks at me in the eyes as she said, "What do you think of annulling your engagement with Sonic?"
My eyes widened in shock, as I accidentally raised my voice, "NO!"
My mom was shocked, of course, flinching when she heard me raise my voice. "I mean; why would you even think of that mom? Isn't the prophecy the reason why you want me to get married to Sonic in the future? I have never thought that you'll ask that..." I mumbled, also saying sorry to her multiple times. She giggled a bit before she sighed, "I also didn't think that I would ever ask you this question, especially that this prophecy is quite dangerous for us to annul the engagement. But seeing you unhappy and putting up with all of it, the things that you told me and your father before are starting to make sense now. I and your dad were blinded by fear at the time that we didn't even realize that we were already hurting and forcing you out of your own will, just to avoid being affected by the prophecy. And now, seeing you slowly falling apart by being forced into this, proves that I'm a bad mother for you. And for that, I want to say sorry." My mother apologized. With tears in my eyes, I hugged her as tight as I could, finally in the comfort of my mother.

At school, I guess everything returned to normal. Except that everyone was completely shocked by Sonic's bandaged arm, I guess that was a shocker for everyone. And as Sonic was being scolded by Sally in our classroom doorway, I silently laughed at Sonic's expressions as he tries to reason with her. But alas, all he could do was shut up and listen. And as for me, my friends were curious about how I and him made up. I did tell them everything, about the attack, about us making up, and his confession to me. But of course, out of all the things I told them, they were most intrigued by Sonic's confession the most. "It's because he has never confessed to anyone before! If we tell the whole school about this, I'm sure even the school newspaper will have to leave a whole page just for that part!" Rouge exclaimed. We quickly shushed her in fear that someone might hear her and spread it to the whole school, the thought of me getting bombarded by his adoring fans with questions scares me the most. "So what did you say?" Cream asked, moving closer to me. In the library, we actually hid in the most unvisited part of the whole library just for me to tell them the things that happened yesterday. I sighed as I leaned against the bookshelf behind me, "I wasn't able to answer because he told me that he didn't need my answer, he just wants to tell me his feelings for me. And that by just being with me, is already enough for him."
