KYRA's POV
"MY OWN ROOM?!?!?!" I screamed, probably way too loud.
"Wait," Avi said, "Where is her room?"
"You know the office that I was fixing up?" Kevin asked. Avi nodded, "Well, that's not an office."
I laughed and walked to my room. Kevin opened the door, "Welcome Home, Kyra!" He said.
The room was PERFECT! The walls were painted a light shade of gray with bright yellow chevron on one wall. In the far corner of the room there was a queen size bed with a teal bedspread and bright yellow pillows. There was a beanbag chair in the corner of the room and a flat screen TV on the wall by it.
"I love you, Dad. I mean Kevin, sorry." I said, super embarrassed.
"It's okay, sweety," Kevin said, tearing up, "You can call me dad."
I ran to him and hugged him. I never wanted to let go.
After about 30 seconds Dad said, "Why don't you get settled in? Avi and I will be downstairs making dinner. I am going to call Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie and see if they want to come over if that's okay."
"Sounds great!" I said with a smile.
I unpacked my stuff an lied down on my bed.
I prayed. Thanking God for giving me such an amazing family and a fresh start.
