Ch. 25

Bri's POV

When Shawn lifted up the covers, I let out a huge breath that I was holding in so he wouldn't hear me.

"Why are you here?" Shawn asked, his voice cracking like he was about to cry.

"I-I wanted to talk to you, but you weren't home, so I wrote a note and you were opening the door and I panicked and his here," I replied.

"Well, you have a lot to talk about, get out and talk to me," Shawn friendly said.

He held out a hand and I grabbed it. I still had his pills in my pocket, but I put some back in the bottle so he wouldn't suspect anything. Shawn helped pull me out and we sat with our foreheads touching and holding hands.

"Tell me everything," Shawn said.

So, I told him about how I saw him with that girl and how he really hurt me and how I wanted to die. But I never told him about how I took the pills and how they are in my pocket.

"-So, that's it,' I said feeling like I got something off of my chest.

Shawn took his forehead off of mine and looked in my eyes. My mind wandered about how Shawn is cheating on me, but deep down I wouldn't let myself believe it. He wouldn't hurt me...or would he?

Shawn's POV

I was taken aback by what Bri said. Why would she think that I would cheat on her?

I looked into her beautiful, blue eyes and searched for words to say, but I was speechless.

"I-Bri, I-I would never do that to you. You know that I love you," I said, trying to hold back tears.

She didn't say anything. She just sat there looking into my eyes. She had tears brimming hers.

"I'm sorry, Bri. You don't understand," I finally said, breaking the silence.

"No, I understand, Matthew did it too. I've been through this before. I don't need somebody to ex-"

I cut her off by smashing my lips onto hers.

She pulled away and a tear fell from her eye.

Bri's POV

I don't know why I pulled away, but I did and I felt like crap for doing it.

Shawn stuttered a little and I finally said, "I'm sorry, Shawn."

He just stood there and nodded his head.

Then, I turned around and stood up.

"Shawn, I...I have something to tell you," I said, tears brimming my eyes.

"What is it??" Shawn asked sounding concerned.

"I.....I'm sorry. Don't get mad at me," I pleaded.

"I promise I won't," Shawn replied.

I hesitated telling him. I didn't know how he was going to take it.

I snapped back into reality when Shawn said, "What is it?"

"I... I umm.... ItooksomeofyourpillsforyourheadandIwantthemtokickinbutnotwithyouhereandifyouseemeslowlydieIwontdiehappysoImpolitelyaskingyoutoleavesoyoudontseemedie." I said really fast in one breath.

"You what?" Shawn said sounding confused.
