Shawn's POV

*One week later*

They finally let Bri out of the hospital.

She was in there for a while week, and they had to run tests on her to see if he actually had brain damage.

I was a little annoyed, only because I couldn't see her for a whole week.

When they finally let her out, I had this whole plan of taking her out for a picnic, then I will have this whole thing set up where a sheet will be hanging in between two trees, and there will be a projector projecting a movie on it and we will sit in my truck and watch.

When Friday finally came, I had my mom and sister set it up while I let her go home and see her family.

Then, at 7:30, I drove to her house in my truck and knocked on her door.

When it opened up, it was Jaxson.

"Hello, Shawn. What brings you here?" Jaxson asked, winking.

"Oh you know, just here to see Bri," I said.

"Well, come on in," Jaxson said, motioning behind him.

Bri was sitting on the couch right behind the door.

When I sat down next to her, she turned to me and smiled.

"Hey, cutie," I said, smiling.

"Hey," she said back, smiling.

I pulled her into a hug.

"I've missed you," I whispered.

"I missed you, too," she whispered back.

I pulled away and smiled.

"What?" she said.

"It's just that I have not seen you for a week, and I just had this crazy thought that I should take you out to a fancy dinner," I said,"Crazy, right?"

Her smile went away a little, "Yeah, crazy," she said.

"But then, you know, I thought, nah, last time we went on one of those, we almost went to jail," I said.

She giggled a little and looked at her feet, "Yeah, that was scary."

"So, I thought, maybe if I took you out on a picnic, maybe she will forgive me, but that's a long shot," I said.

She smiled and giggled some more.

"So, Bri will you go on a picnic with me tonight?" I asked.

She smiled, "Sure, you weirdo. When shall I be ready?" she asked.

"Now would be best," I said.

She said, "Okay, I'll be ready in 15 minutes."

I smiled, kissed her on the cheek and let her go upstairs to get changed.

When she came back down, she was wearing a muscle tank, long dark skinny jeans, and baby blue vans.

My favorite part of the outfit was that she didn't even put makeup over the scars. No bracelets, no jacket, no makeup, no long sleeved shirt, nothing.

She looked beautiful, as always.

"Ready?" I asked.

"R-ready," she replied, hesitantly.

I went up to her, took her hand, kissed her cheek, and i I walked her out of the house.
