Ch. 6

Shawn's POV

I went into the bathroom to get changed and I brushed my teeth. (I also brought a toothbrush)
Then I exited the bathroom and went downstairs with Brianna.

"So, what do you want for breakfast?" Brianna asked me.

Her parents weren't home, they were going to Guatemala for a cruise for two weeks.

"No, no, no, I make you breakfast. Now, sit down and I'll make you some extra cheesy scrambled eggs. How does that sound?" I said and smiled.

"Delightful," Brianna answered.

After we ate breakfast, Brianna asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo and see new koalas being born.

Of course I said yes!

Brianna's POV

We went to the zoo, and I paid with my parents credit card that they gave me for when they were gone.

When we got to the koala exhibit, there was a sign that said if we wanted to see the baby koalas, we would have to go to the birthing center.

When we got there, there was a glass wall separating us and the koala. then there were bleachers for us to sit on so we could watch.

Apparently, Shawn and I came at the perfect time, because there was only two other families there and the koala was just giving birth.

The whole time, Shawn and I were aww-ing.

I'm pretty sure that the people behind us thought we were insane.

Afterwards, there was a thing where you could go in the cage and pet the baby koalas, but you had to pay $20.00 extra per person. Shawn begged and begged me and when I got sick of the begging, I finally agreed.

"Yes! Thank you, Brianna, I love you!" Shawn said.

I started to blush and said, "I'm only doing this because I love you."

"That's fine by me," Shawn said back.

We went into the koala cage after putting on a lot of protective gear and signing a lot of papers, because apparently, the momma koala can be very aggressive.

So, Shawn and I went into the cage, and we pet the babies.

The owner said that if we wanted to, with a parents permission, we could adopt a koala and take it home every other week, kind of like divorced parents. You get to see your child once a week and take them home with you and, then return them back to the other parent. That is kind of how the koala thing worked.

Shawn said that he would ask his parents if they would let him adopt one. So, we got a few papers from the zoo and went to Shawn's house to give them to his parents.
