Ch. 12

Shawn's POV

When, I got to Bri's house, Jaxson's car was gone.

I had keys, so if she locked the door, I could still get in.
I barged in and screamed Bri's name.

I couldn't find her. I decided to look in her room. I walked in to see her asleep on her bed.

I quietly shut the door and sat next to her.

I ran my fingers through her hair.
Then, her phone on her desk buzzed.

I looked over at it, and it was a text from Matt.

The text preview (a/n idk what that's called) said, "Some little piece of shit decided to leave because..."

I unlocked her phone, knowing there was no password, and read the rest of the message.

Matt💔: Some little piece of shit decided to leave school because another piece of shit made her angry? Seriously, you can't be doing this because sooner or later, people will find out your hiding something. So, don't you even dare think that you can skip classes again. Because, if you do, you're going to need body guards to protect you. Oh and your little "boyfriend" too.

I just reread the words over and over, letting them sink deeper into my mind.

Matt was plotting revenge on her because he hurt her.

I turned off the phone and put it on the desk.

I turned back to Brianna and cuddled with her.

I soon fell asleep, thinking about Matt's text.

Brianna's POV

When I woke up, Shawn was next to me, asleep.

I looked at my clock for the time, and it was 3:30.

About the time out school gets out.

I started to think about the day.
Shawn and I got into a fight. I left. Jaxson is at Dylan's. I am home alone with Shawn until
8:00.
Shawn.

I needed to talk to him about today.

I needed to tell him that I was sorry.

I needed him to wake up so I could tell him this.

But how could I do it without being rude?

Just as I was thinking of how I could wake him up, he woke up.

Simple enough, right?

"Hey," he said, waking up.

"Hey, look, I'm sorry about today. I didn't mean to run out on you like that. I jus-" I said, being cut off by Shawn crashing his lips into mine.

The kiss lasted about thirty seconds, until Shawn pulled away, with his forehead still touching mine, and said, "It's okay. I forgive you."

Then, he kissed me again.

I put my arms around his neck, and he put his around my waist.
I started to pull away, when he said, "No, I like it."

So, I pulled him closer, and kissed him even harder.

Our lips moved in sync with one another's.

When Shawn finally pulled away, he said, "I love you. Don't you ever forget that."

"I love you too," I replied.

He quickly pecked my lips, and grabbed both of my hands.

I gazed into his beautiful, big, brown eyes, as he stared into my blue ones.

I looked down, and grinned.

"What?" Shawn asked.

"It's just that you make me feel like I'm not worthless. You make me feel like, somebody actually loves me for once," I said.

"Bri, that's because you aren't worthless and everyone loves you. It's just that the people you were around didn't see that," Shawn said to me.

I didn't know I was crying until a tear landed on my lap.

Shawn lifted up my chin, so I was looking in his eyes again, and said, "You're beautiful."

I loved him. Words couldn't explain how much I loved him.

Shawn's POV

Bri eventually fell asleep in my arms, resting her head on my shoulder.

I decided to just stay there and think about things.

Matt, where Jaxson went, why Bri is sinking deeper into depression after I tried so hard to get her out.

Seriously, why is she like this?

I thought I made her happy.

I thought that she really loved me.

"Woof, woof!"

I looked on the side of the bed to see Puddles sitting there.

I patted the bed to get her to come up and cuddle with me and Bri.

Puddles hopped up and started licking my face.

The dog was so cute.

I pet it until it fell asleep, too.
