Aaliyah's POV

When Shawn asked us who we were, my heart sunk to the bottom of my stomach.

After that, Bri and I had to go back out to the waiting room because the doctor was going to do some tests on Shawn.

Bri saw me tearing up and carried me out of the room.

Then, she sat me down and we talked about things other than Shawn.

"So, how's school?" She asked me.

"School's good," I answered.

"Did you make any new friends?"

I giggled a little, "Yeah, I met a girl named Hayden. She's really nice," I said.

"Oh, that's cool," Bri said, twiddling with her thumbs.

Then, we sat there in silence for about 30 minutes until Faith walked in with blankets.

Bri stood up and smiled.

"I figured we'd be sleeping here, so I brought blankets," Faith said, handing each of us a blanket.

Bri's POV

We all sat back down, and the last thing I remember before going to sleep was Aaliyah walking over to me and sitting in the chair next to me.

When I woke up, there were nurses everywhere.

Aaliyah was asleep next to me, with her arms wrapped around mine.

And Faith was at the front desk, asking the receptionist a question.

When Faith turned around, she quietly said, "Good morning."

"Morning," I whispered.

Then, Nash and Cameron walked in the hospital and sat down across from me.

I smiled and sat up as much as I could with Aaliyah wrapped around my arms.

Today was the day that we got to see if Shawn still remembered anything.

Nash smiled and pointed at Aaliyah.

"It's been a rough night," I said to him.

"Well, it's actually kind of cute how she thinks of you as some protection. Like she trusts you," Nash said.

Then, I heard a camera noise and saw Cameron taking a picture of us.

"Cam!" I whisper yelled.

"Sorry, but I had to," he replied.

Then, Aaliyah woke up.

"Good morning," I said, as she sat up, losing her grip of my arms.

"Why are they here?" She asked, sarcastically.

"Ha-ha. Very funny," Nash said.

Aaliyah giggled and said, "But seriously, why are you here?"

"We wanted to see how Shawn is doing. And, we wanted to do something else that is kind of a secret," Cameron answered.

"What is it?" Aaliyah asked, whining a little.

"You'll find out," Nash and Cameron said at the same time.

About five minutes later, a nurse with bleach blonde hair came out of Shawn's room and said, "You can now go in and see Shawn, but try not to touch him other than his hands, face, hair, or arms."

"So no hugging?" Faith asked.

"You can hug him, just not for a long period of time," the nurse answered.

"Okay, thanks," I said, walking towards Shawn's room's door.

We all walked in and saw his parents sitting down next to his bed, half asleep. They must've stayed up all night.

"Hey, you guys can go sleep now," I said.

"Thank you," his father said, as they got up and walked out.

Shawn was still asleep, but as soon as the door shut, he woke up.

He sat up and immediately smiled.

I was trying to hold back tears.

"Hey beautiful," Shawn said, as he held out his arms.

We all took turns hugging him.

We all sat around his bed, while Aaliyah sat down on his bed by his feet.

We were both tearing up a little.

I held Shawn's hand and we all talked.

In the middle of the conversation, Shawn asked, "What happened. Like, why am I in the hospital, and why are you two crying?"

The room was silent.

Then, Cameron spoke up and explained what happened.

"I...punched him?" Shawn asked, sounding shocked.

"Yeah, it was kind of crazy," I said, laughing a little.

"Did he deserve it?" Shawn asked.

"Yeah, he did," I said, laughing, and sniffling at the same time.

"Well, now I don't feel as bad," Shawn said.

We all laughed.

Even Aaliyah laughed, even though she didn't like Shawn hurting people.

Then, the nurse came back in and said that they still had to do some tests on Shawn, so we had to leave.

We all got something from the vending machine and sat down o the other side of the waiting room, because Shawn's parents were sleeping and we didn't want to wake them.

Nash turned on the tv and asked a nurse if they could hook their phones up to it so we could watch a movie.

The nurse said it was okay, and we watched High School Musical.

We were all singing and then, the quiet hospital filled with noise.

We pauses the movie and listened.

It sounded like a teenager yelling.

"I'm telling you, mom! It's broken!"

Then, he walked in.
