Ch. 14

Shawn's POV

I woke up in my own bed with all the blankets thrown off of me to the sound of my alarm clock going off.

Today was Wednesday, the day Bri's parents were coming home.
We had no school today, because of a school board meeting.
Something about the "unhealthy food" they've been giving us.

Anyway, I wanted to make today special for Bri and her parents.
Bri has been home alone for half a month now and her parents don't know that Jaxson is home.
Jaxson and I have made a "plan-ish" thing to surprise Ty and Harper (Bri's dad & mom)
I was going to watch movies with Bri and "distract" her while Jaxson gets into uniform.
Then, their parents will come home and Nash and Cameron will come over.

Then, we will have dinner ready and Jaxson will come out of the bathroom, making it flush, scaring Ty and Harper a little and BOOM! Happiness.

Bri's POV

I woke up and almost screamed.

I was so excited.

My parents were coming home today.

Today would be the first day in a year that my parents, Jaxson, and I were in the same house together.

I can't wait.

*Two hours later*

I looked down at my phone to check the time.

2:00

My parents were supposed to arrive at the airport at 1:45, but the flight got delayed, and they won't be home until 3:30.

But that's just more time for me to make dinner.

I went downstairs and was surprised to see Shawn, Nash, and Cameron all sitting on the couch, playing with Puddles.

I was surprised because,
I didn't know they were here.

"When did you get here?" I asked, interrupting their play session with Puddles.

"Like 20 minutes ago. Jaxson let us in," Cameron answered.

"Okay, I just didn't hear you come in," I said.

Shawn smiled and stood up.

He walked over to me and kissed my forehead.

"Ready to make dinner with us?" Nash and Cameron asked at the same time.

"Yeah, lets make sloppy joes," I said.

After we were done making dinner and setting the table, it was 2:57.

"Bri can I talk to you outside?" Shawn asked.

"Sure," I answered.

We walked outside, and it was warm and sunny.

He sat me down on the hammock and stood in front of me.
He just kept on smiling.

"What?" I asked, blushing.

"It's just that it's the first time that your parents, you, and Jaxson were all home at the same time in a long time. And we finally get to tell your parents about 'us'" Shawn said.

I sat there and smiled.

I got up and hugged him.

He picked me up, and I wrapped my legs around him. He spun me around, letting my loose hair fly.

Then, he stopped and kissed me on the lips.

"Oohhhh!" I heard Cameron say.

Shawn immediately set me down and turned around to see Cameron.

Shawn's POV

I whipped around and mouthed the words, "What was that!?" to Cameron.

He just shrugged.

Then, I heard screeching noises.

Bri's POV

Brakes!

Those were car brakes!
