"So you're suggesting that I serve as bait for the gel boy?" Casey asked after we filled her and everyone else in detail. "If I'm not by myself then sure."
"Your pack and I are going to be there," I said. "He'll probably just bring more standard hunters, so it shouldn't be a problem to take care of."
"If we know what we're dealing with, it could even be easier to convince others to join us," Troian said, back to her usual self.
"Well, we do have to start training more though. There's no saying if they're going to be easy to beat or not," I continued. "Those that came today were easy targets, but we can't let our guard down."
As we all agreed, we decided to start training, only that this time around we had Lucy and Marina over. Lucius had gone home since he had stuff to deal with, but this was going to be interesting.
The wolves and vampires had a more head-on way to fight, while the witches were more of tricksters.
Troian and I, since we were just "humans" with no magic or ability to turn into giant wolves, had to rely on creativity.
We all taught ourselves a bit of what we knew before it started to get a bit late, and we had a break to prepare and eat dinner.
By the end of the day, that didn't last to arrive, we were all as tired as we could be.
We took our showers and got ready to go to bed, and as Casey and I got into our room, she suggested we do something we'd have to eventually do.

"A bit to the left."
"Here?"
"Higher, just a little."
"Like this?"
"Yes!"
"Are you guys filming a porno?" Dana asked, walking into our room.
"We're hanging the painting Hunter stole for me," Casey said after wiping the imaginary sweat off her forehead. "We hopefully won't be living here for long but we also can't let it in our dorm since anyone can get in and steal it. Saria told us that it was fine if we hung it up here."
"Boring, my suggestion was better," the witch shrugged.
"You're doing okay?" I asked. "You seem better."
"Yeah, it's never easy to lose people but we have to deal with it. I just hope that this whole alliance thing works and we don't have to worry about being hunted all the time."
I nodded as she left and soon enough laid down on the bed, followed by Casey.
"Are you sure you wanna do that with Jace?" I asked, not being able to shake that thought out.
"We don't have many other ways to do it, do we?" She turned to face me, and I did the same.
"We can always hunt them down if we have to. You just have to let us know and we'll drop the plan."
Casey looked a bit uneasy like she had to say something but somehow couldn't bring herself to do so.
"And you can tell me anything you want. I'm not judging."
We stood there in silence for a couple more minutes while staring at each other. It felt like she was building up the courage to say what she had to say, and I knew I had to give her time. Sometimes that's all that people need.
"I'm just... scared," she spoke up. "I'm scared of telling you that I'm scared of doing it."
"And why are you scared?" I asked gently, making my eyes as soft as I could. "I'm just me."
