He walks down the hallway and freezes as he sees Meredith at the counter, writing in a chart. Her lab coat is so big on her and her hair flows down her shoulders, golden and bright in the light. Smirking, he walks behind her and opens his mouth to speak before seeing her stop writing.

"You aren't that slick." She says softly.
"I wasn't trying to-" He starts.
"Yes, you were." She smiles as she turns to him.
"Okay, I was." He nods before laughing.
She rolls her eyes and scoffs before looking around.

He watches her curiously as she leans out, glancing at each the hallways. Before he can say anything, she holds his arms and stands on her tip toes before kissing his lips. He groans softly and his hands move around her waist. Her tongue lines his lips and he pushes his into her mouth before walking backwards into a closet.

Kissing her was relaxing, calm and not urgent. He lifts her up on his body and she wraps her legs around his torso while they laugh.
"I have bad news." She says in between kisses.
"Mhm." He sighs before setting her down and wrapping his arms around her as she locks her fingers around his neck.
"I have roommates so I can't have you over anymore." She whispers against his lips.
"Fine, I won't but at least I can still take you places right?" He asks innocently while he runs his fingers down her sides.
"As long as they don't see you, we can go anywhere." She nods.
"Well then, I will be taking you out tonight." He says.
"Okay." She blushes and pulls away as her pager rings.
"Bye." He mouths as she leaves the closet.

Pulling out his buzzing phone, he holds it to his ear while the smug smile on his face widens.
"Hello?" He asks.
"Derek, you've been gone for almost two weeks." Addison says into the phone softly making his smile drop.
"And you're living with Mark. Yeah, I know." He says.
"Just come back home." She begs.
"And do what?" He asks angrily.
"We can fix it if you come home." She says.
"Can we Addie?" He asks, almost sincerely.
"We're Addison and Derek..." She starts.
"Meant to be." He answers gently, closing his eyes.
"Yeah... so come home?" She asks.
"I don't know Addie." He says tentatively.
"I miss you." She whispers into the phone.
"I... I think, I might miss you too." He breathes out softly.

She sounded sincere and he did miss her. He missed waking up to her and her kisses. Sliding his phone into his pocket, he walks out of the room and moves into a surgery as he continues to think. Addie made a mistake and he should forgive her. Mark was a mistake. He was sure of it, she had been calling him everyday and he found himself wanting her in the middle of night, picking up the phone and nearly dialing her.

It would be two weeks soon and he wanted to go back, but he felt things for Meredith that he hadn't felt in so long. There was a small jump in his heart when he saw her. It was as if every time he saw her, his heart would stop for a second. All the things he felt for her before were still there.

Derek even remembered saying that he loved her all those years ago. He didn't know what love was then, and he was even more confused about it now. As he worked, he couldn't stop thinking of both of the women he wanted. The conflicting emotions were tearing his heart to shreds and he knew he couldn't keep being halfway in on both of the relationships.

She smiles as she gets to her house and opens the door. All the interns are sitting around the den, eating a pizza and drinking beers while they watch a tape of laparotomy.
"Clean up." She smiles as she kicks off her shoes.
"Why are you so happy?" Cristina snorts.
"I have a date." Meredith giggles and they all turn their heads to her as she holds the railing on the stairs.
"Who?!" Izzie and George both ask in awe.
"You don't know him." She shrugs before waving to them while they glance at each other, dumbfounded.

Changing into a tank top and jeans, she walks downstairs and they all glance at her before turning their heads again.
"Hot." Alex says as he pops a peanut in his mouth.
"You can't wear that to a date!" Izzie shrieks.
"Meredith, you look... stunning." George says softly.
"Thank you. And Iz- watch me." Meredith laughs before glancing outside and seeing his car.

Izzie tries to stop her but she walks out of the house and jogs to his car before getting in. She smiles as he starts driving and parks around the corner before taking off his sunglasses and hoodie.
"Ah, see this. This is very stealthy." She smiles as he tosses his hoodie back with his glasses.
"Thank you." He grins, an adorable smile flashing across his face.
They laugh as she straps in and turns to him as he watches her.

His left hand lifts to her cheek and he caresses it gently as his eyes gaze into hers. They are bright green, almost like pine trees but better. She leans in and presses her forehead to his.
"You look beautiful." He whispers against her lips before she locks them and sucks gently. He groans softly and his hand moves farther around his head before he sighs heavily and pulls away.
"You look nice too." She nods, rubbing his arm.
"We should... uhm, start driving. It's far away-ish." He whispers.
"Okay." She nods, sitting back against the seat as he starts driving and uses a free hand to hold hers.

She smiles as she looks at him, watching the smile on his face grow. His raven locks are brushed back a like usual and he is wearing jeans and a black button down shirt. She moves their hands to her lips and kisses the back of his making them both of them chuckle.
