"I would like to know what just happen" Helion said as soon as they sat on her room.
"What are you talking about?" Kallista replied trying to sound clueless but she was miserably failing.
"You know the whole gazing into each others eyes" Helion explained moving to bed and throwing himself at it.
"You won't believe it" Kallista squealed and jumped on the bed beside him.
"What?" He asked with a excited look on his face it most be something good if it got his best friend smiling like that, he suported his head with his hand turning on his side to see her better.
"It's him" She smiled with a dreamy look on her face and turned on her side to watch her best friend with furrowed eyebrows.
"wait..." A large gasp sounded from him and his eyes widened "As in your..." He moved his hands weirdly.
"Yes!" She shouted excitedly. When she didn't heard her best friend celebrate with her she turned to him to find him zoned out and with pursed lips. "What's wrong?"
"Just be careful" Helion uttered. Kallista frowned remembering what happened to him and his mate, she could remember when his mate told him they couldn't see eachother anymore, Helion was heart-broken, he hid it well but Kallista has known him long enough to now that his heart was in millions of pieces.
"Don't worry, i'll take care of myself" She assured him smiling putting her hand on top of his.
"I know you can" He smiled back at her, and the conversation went smoothly after that, they talked of different things, sometimes about things that maked them burst out laughing for minutes and with tears rolling down their cheeks, and sometimes about deep things that left them in silent thinking, Helion retired to her chambers after he told her to sleep.
Kallista woke up in the middle of her slumber to a tug in her chest, she thought nothing of it thinking it was just her imagination until it happened again stronger, waking her up. She got up from bed careful not to make any sounds. She grabbed her silk robe and put it over her white cotton night dress. Kallista left the room quietly and started following the tug in her chest.
The tug lead her towards a big balcony, that overlook the whole city, and where a certain winged male was sitting on the ivory rails looking at the stars. Kallista thought he looked majestic.
"I wouldn't say majestic" His rough voice stated, and Kallista flushed when she remembered that the bond must have told him, she moved beside him and put her forearms in the railing. He turned to look at her and was stunned at her beauty and how she looked under the moonlight, her hair seemed to shine when a ray of the moon touched it, even in her night clothes she looked beautiful.
"After months of torture and wondering who that blurred stranger was, I have finally seen your face, so I think I deserve to call you that" She said with a smile looking up at him with her big blue eyes.
"If you can call me that the. It's only fair if I call you the same" he had a soft look in his eyes and she blushed again.
Kallista as she has mentioned has been called beautiful a lot of times but most of it, didn't matter to her, they were people that she didn't know, but she has never in her 200 plus years of living has she cared as much as when he said it and somehow her heart nearly stopped.
"Thank you" She stated, his lips turned up a little. They talked quietly for some hours ,sharing whispers in the dark night.
she noticed after some time him fidgeting a lot with his hands, she looked at his hands and notice that they were burned...?, she furrowed her eyebrows and sadness immediatly plagued her features, it could have been an accident what happened to him but deep in her she knew it wasn't and if it wasn't what cruel creature would something like that to someone.
"They are horrible, I know" He said looking down refusing to meet her sad gaze.
"They are not" Kallista moved her hand to put it in top of his but stopped not knowing if he was comfortable with it, him noticing her hesitation moved grabbed her hand and interlaced their fingers, both of their breaths hitched at the touch of their skin, and they were now only focused in the presence of one another. "I believe in what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" She said and turned to look at him and he was already watching her. without noticing they were both leaning in.
When something sounded down the hall, and he leaned away taking his hand from her, immediatly stepping g away, Kallista frowned when a blonde woman came out from the dark hallway, Her's and Azriel's heads snapped to her.
"Azriel?" the red wearing woman questionned.
"Mor" He nodded at her "what are you doing here?"
"I was looking for you" Her eyes strayed towards her and she tilted her head "who is this?"
"I'm-"
"No one" Azriel beat her in responding, Kallista frowned for what it felt like the thousand time and turned to look at him, to see him with his eyes still in 'Mor'.
"Are you coming?" Morrigan asked tilting her head towards the hallway.
"Yeah" He replied making his way towards her without even glancing at Kallista. So she saw her mate walking away from her with the blonde beauty at his side acting as if she was just another person. She was left there standing under the moonlight and burning stars in the place where they had just shared a dazed moment but him no longer there. She went to her room feeling nothing inside only her thoughts, layed in bed besides her best friend and tried to forget that night ever happened.
