Weeks have passed from when she last saw the shadowsinger and her mood was progressibly getting worst and worst. Kallista had stopped talking to her brother since she knew of his involvement in taking Azriel away. She felt like she was underwater all this weeks.

She's been in her room locked for the past weeks. From her knowledge her father already went to only one High Lord meeting and Alara informed her there was about to be another one in a couple of days on the summer court.

Alara brings her her food everyday, three times a day, as her father had said after the fright that she gave everyone in the castle when she winnowed out of there. So the high lord's solution was to put her on her room as a punishment. It is the first time that the high lord has punished one of his children and everyone was shocked when they heard it was the sweet princess at the end of this.

Looking at her food in front of her, Kallista had the neccesity to throw up as the smell reached her nose, she ran to the bathroom almost toppling over her food and throwing all of yesterday's food on the cold toilet, she felt someone pulling up her hair. Panting when she finished, she leaned away from the toilet and found a worried Alara to her left.

"This is getting more frequent Kalli" Alara stated with a raised brow, they both knew what was happening but unlike Alara, Kallista was still in denial.

"I'm okay, it's probably something I ate" Kallista stood up and washed her mouth in her elegant sink.

"For the fifth time?" Alara questioned crossing her arms and watching her friend from the mirror reflection.  The princess went to leave the bathroom but was stopped by Alara blocking her way.

"What do you want me to say, Alara?!" She snapped.

"For you to accept it!"

"I can't!"

"Why?" Alara crossed her arms again and Kallista's eyes started welling with tears.

"Because it's my fault, I should have been more careful" Kallista said trying to not spill any more tears than she already had.

"It's not your fault that you are in this situation" Alara explained and hugged her "it's just- the situation is unfortunate" Kallista snorted at her friends words and hugged her tighter. The situation was indeed out of luck. "Are you going to tell your dad or Kallias?"
