Kallista was dressed in her finery, now waiting at the left of her father who was sitting in his throne, at his right Kallias now practicing his serious face, he once said to Kallista 'When in meetings like this I have to act serious, for people to take me seriously' and in all honesty the princess thought is was a load of bull, if someone is going to take you seriously is because they respect you, not because you have a serious face.
A guard came into the throne room the light coming from the dome reflecting in his silver armour "Azriel Spymaster, from the Night Court"
He announced and stepped aside, showing the tall Ilyrian behind him who had a blank face, Azriel had to say the Winter Court was beautiful, it had a sense of calmness to it. He stopped a few meters in front of the high lord, he bowed slightly the hair in his head getting a little bit messier.
"Azriel from the Night Court, first of all I thank you for accepting the offer" The High lord said looking towards Azriel who nodded his head in respect.
"It was no problem, High Lord" Azriel said his eyes meeting Kallista's for a second before he looked away. Azriel could not believe his eyes, she looked even more ethereal than the last time he saw her, with the light coming from the crystal ceiling iluminating her whole being making her pale hair and skin almost glow, her dress fitting her like a glove, the valley of her breasts showing behind the blue mesh, making him take a deep breath.
"You'll be training my daughter in swordplay and self defense, everyday on the afternoons, there is a training room in the castle, you can train there, you have to inform a guard wheter you are leaving to another place and when you are leaving to your court, we have to be careful in this times" The high lord sighed and the spymaster nodded his head again in acknowledgement "A guard will take you to the training room, and my daughter will be there in some minutes"
A guard guided Azriel out of the room and walked him to a big set of wooden doors at the end of the hall, he opened one heavy door and let the Ilyrian pass, when Azriel was fully inside the room the door closed. It was a very big room almost as big as the throne room, on the left of the room was a very big window that nearly covered the whole wall, at the right of the room there were weapons of all sort pinned in the wall and some others kept in elegant wooden boxes, in the middle of the room a big mat where he guessed was for the training.
After some minutes of waiting and inspectionating the weapons on the walls he heard the door open and close, he turned around to be met with those icee blue eyes of his mate, looked her up and down her body that no longer had the colorful tull on it, but tight leathers marking every perfect curve in her body.
"Grab a sword" He firmly said walking towards the mat and unsheating the sword from his back, Kallista went to the wall and grabbed a silver sword, weighted it in her hand, it was quite light so she decided to go with that one, if she had a heavy sword it will just slow her down. She alked to the mat and stood in front of him, the second she raised her sword he was already going at her.
Kallista stoped his sword with hers, before he could slash her with it, he came at her a few times but she succesfully managed to avoid it, she knew he was not putting all his strenght nor abilities in the fight not wanting to hurt her.
Azriel on the ohter hand was a little impressed for only having basic training she was holding up quite good, but she needed so much more training if she was to fight the monsters of hybern, so Azriel speed up his movements, Kallista was now begining to feel overwhlemed by the amount of cuts she kept dodging.
At some point Azriel manged to pull Kallista's sword from her hands and into his so swiftly that at this point Kallista had gotten dizzy and barely noticed, after she regained her bearings Azriel was in front of her with his left hand holding her sword on her neck and his sword behind her back so she couldn't move.
"Your legs were positioned wrong" He started and Kallista could feel his breath on her face making her breath hitch "That's why you couldn't move faster"
Their noses were almost touching, and they both were breathing heavily either because of the training or the closeness between them, Azriel catched her scent being so closed to her and clench his jaw, to summon the will to do not let his heart win.
Kallista looked down at his lips and Azriel sword loosened on her body, it was like a magnet force him to look at her lips too because he now found himself looking at her soft and plump rosy lips, he swallowed hard when she saw her moving slightly forward their noses now nudging eachother and their breath combining.
And when their lips brushed, Azriel snapped out of it.
What was he doing?
He couldn't let his heart win, so he pulled away.
He walked away from her "You need more practice, let's go again"
