The warm rays of the sun that filtered through the balcony woke her up as they hit their face. She thought she was in her precious bed when all the memories of yesterday started to come back to her. She wishes she could forget about everything and just sleep in bed all day. Such a disappointment.
"Wake up, Princess" A voice singed tauntingly. "We have a lot to do today"
"Leave me alone" She muttered while going deeper into the covers. She heard a humming and then a big pillow was thrown at her that provoqued a groan of pain to come out.
"Wake up, snowflake, we are having breakfast" Helion clapped his hands signaling for her to hurry up. Kallista goes back to sleep. "Kallista come on, we don't have all day" He sounded desperate but then she heard a laugh "Your batboy is going to be there" He mused.
"Even worse" Kallista said putting her pillow on her face when remembering the events of last night.
"Why? I thought you were all in the flirty glances with the brooding one" He questioned while sitting in the bed beside her.
"I was" She protested, her voice sounding muffled because of the pillow still on her face, "but something happened"
"Tell me everything" He said and so Kallista told him everything that conspired last night where the stars when the brightest and the sun hides, when she finished Helion was just looking at her.
"Mmhm, interesting" Helion hummed "but what does it mean?" He questioned to himself.
"What do you mean, what does it mean?" She asked now sitting on the bed again.
"His reaction I mean, why he reacted like that" He answered. Kallista just looked at him waiting for his answer. "Yeah I have no idea he is one weird fella"
"He is not weird" Kallista defended.
"Oh I see, it's already kicking in"

After Kallista finished getting ready, her and Helion walked together to the breakfast hall. Guards opened the granite doors giving the view of a big room that held a wooden table in the shape of an oval, thankfully the table wasn't too full since the autumn, spring, summer and dawn courts had already left along with her father that had other pressing matters only leaving Helion, Kallias, Vivianne, her and-
The night court
Great
Entering the sunlight iluminated room, Everybody turned their heads towards the new arrivals, Kallista purposely avoiding her eyes to go towards were the night court was seated at the right of the table.
"Good Morning" Helion greeted everyone in the room receiving back chorus of 'good mornings', Kallista just nodded her head in acknowledgement not really feeling like talking and everyone went back to their own conversations, Helion led her to her place with a hand of the small of her back and Kallista suddenly felt annoyance going down through the bond which she know made sure she kept closed remembering her father's lessons, her lips quirked a bit at the feeling. Approaching her place which was at the left of Helion and at the right of her brother, Helion moved the seat so she could sit being always the gentleman he is and Kallista felt the annoyance again.
This was too amusing
"Thank you Helion" She said smiling at her friend, while he accommodated himself in his seat, Kallista finally dared herself to look at where the night court was situated; Rhysand was the closest to Helion then it was Morrigan - which she had the displeasure of meeting the other night- then Azriel and at the end Cassian, after looking she accidentally catched the eye of Morrigan who lifted a perfect plucked eyebrow at her and Kallista instantly looked away when she was catched in the act.
"Well, let's eat" Helion clapped his hands and food appeared in front of them already made for their liking, everyone dived right in eager to fill their empty bellies.
"Kallista, right?" Mor questioned looking at her, Kallista slowly turned to look at her as if she didn't know if the question was really directed to her, she looked rapidly at Azriel who did not lifted his face from his food.
"Yeah, of the Winter court" Kallista answered with a smile, she figured that Mor hadn't actually treated her badly it was just her bond making her act like that, so until Morrigan actually did something to her Kallista would try to hold herself from making any remarks.
"Princess of the Winter court, don't be so humble Kalli" Helion added winking at his bestfriend, thinking he was helping.
"Oh, Princess?" Morrigan repeated looking at Azriel with raised eyebrows ad he avoided her gaze now looking at Kallista.
"Yes" the princess nodded her head subtly looking at her plate of food that was already half empty. The atmosfere from then turned very awkward for everyone, besides her Kallias cleared his throath trying to get rid of the awkwardness.
"I forgot to say thank you, Rhysand for accepting to help my father" Kallias said conjoining his hands on the table looking at the high lord.
"No worries, everything to help at this times. Also has my your father also mentioned some kind of training for you both?" Rhysand asked waving his hands looking at Kallias and then at Kallista.
"Yeah, with all the danger that's been lurking around he thinks it's the best idea to have my sister trained" Kallias answered. The princess sent him a glare when he only mentioned her.
"Well, I'll be happy to offer one of my friends, they are very experienced in the act of battle" Rhysand smirked, behind his eyes a secret and a purpose still not told. He glances at his friends "Oh but you know what, Cassian is very busy being commander and all" He waved his hands dismissedly and Cassian looked at him confused but still kept quiet. "Azriel here is free though, he can teach her, if that's fine by you?"
Rhysand still had that same devilish smile he was so famous for, The spymaster looked at him with wide eyes and he looked like he was about to say something but contained himself, Kallista looked at his brother looking for his answer praying to the cauldron that he declines to prevent herself from the shame.
"Yeah, why not, Kallista needs all the help she can get" Kallias grinned at his sister when she gaped at him, so she stomped on his foot below the table ignating a yelp from him.
