They arrived at a clearing, that surprisingly was not as frozen, it had some greens here and there. When they both got down off of Opal, Kallista saw his confusion.

"This place is near the summer court, so it's not as cold" Kallista explained walking to the center of the clearing, she held out her hands at her side and close her eyes, and suddenly the few snow that was in the clearing started to dissapear or melt, ans Azriel's eyes widen, this were her powers, his mate's powers, and he was sure she had more up her sleeve.

She opened her eyes and smile seeing that her powers worked and there was not any snow in sight, if it hadn't worked it would have been embarrassing. She walked back to Opal and took her saddle off. "Go play"

Opal instantly lost herself in the cold white woods behind them, Azriel rose an eyebrow at the careless demeanour of Kallista. Didn't her Velpa just ran away?

"Uh- I think she scaped?" Azriel said but it came out more like a question, and Kallista released some chuckles, making him flushed for the first time.

"No, she knows her way around, and when we are finished I'll call her back" She said looking at him and getting rid of the fur cape covering her shoulders, leaving it in the stem of a tree.

"What else can you do?" Azriel questioned.

"about what?"

"your powers" Azriel clarified, and Kallista grinned.

"Well..." She trailed off walking backwards to the center of the clearing and stopping "I can also do this"

Icee color energy started to come out of her hands, and his mouth opened slightly in amazement, after some seconds a silver swords appeared in her hands when the energy started to disperse.

"It's just summoning things, but it's quite useful" Kallista explained twirling her sword "Are we going to fight or are you just going to stare at me?"

Azriel snapped out of whatever daze he was in, Kallista was a little bit more bold everytime they met and he liked it, not only his heart but him. Walking towards her he unsheated his sword and when he was near her enough he started to throw cuts at her which she easily deflected, Kallista has been getting better and better with each training session, she's a fast learner and actually takes the training seriously.

They were back and forth for some minutes when Azriel stepped back to avoid one of Kallista's slashes, he briefly saw Kallista's beautiful grin when he slipped on something and fell on his back, his wings extended behind him in the floor. He sat and saw a circle of ice where his foot was. He raised an eyebrow at her looking at the ice and then at her again who now had her sword pointing at him the sun at her back making her hair look like halo around her head.

"Like you said, there's no fair fights" Kallista smiled remembering when he maked her trip once in a fight with his wing and said the same thing. "but you know the best thing-" She whispered with a mischivious smile, he nodded with a small upturned in his lips "-I finally won!"

She started dancing happily while laughing around, some chuckles leaving Azriel's mouth and this time he didn't wanted to hide it, he was absolutely happy like this, he was calm and unbothered for the first time in many years seeing his mate dance around the green clearing, seeing her smile so widely because of him making his heart feel full like it had never been, not even with Mor.

When she neared him, she forgot about the circle of ice still on the green grass and accidentally stepped on it, making her slipped just like Azriel before, she went to the floor on her back with a 'thud' besides Azriel.

"Ow" Kallista said, she heard a chuckle at her right and she turned her head to look at him -now shoulder to shoulder- with him already looking at her.

They both share smiles and laughter for a moment, until they quieted down and they both stared at eachother, carefully analyzing each feauture, Kallista taking notice of a few small scars in his tan face, Azriel noticing how her eyes are actually more blue than he thought and the large lashes covering them maked them pop out even more.

Before he could even think, his hand maked his way to the soft skin of her cheek gently, brushing his thumb slowly back and forth on it, Kallista released a shaky breath, when he saw his scarred hand on her pale cheek he immediatly wanted to pull it back not wanting to taint her with such image, but then he felt her familiar cold hand over his maintaining it on place in her cheek.

His thumb then brushed against her lips, his gaze now stuck to the rosy lips, she leaned in his hand, she wetted her lips and Azriel couldn't take it anymore.

He took the hand of her cheek, and gently put himself above her, their legs interlacing. Kallista's breath hitched loudly, he leaned in, his hair falling to his eyes and their noses touching, Azriel looked into her eyes one more time.

"Please" Kallista whispers , as if she talked louder he would pull away, she nudges his nose with his nose and closed her eyes.

Azriel finally closes the gap between them, and puts his lips on her soft ones, their lips moving in sync, butterflies erupting in both of their stomachs, Kallista puts her hands in the back of his neck and pushes him harder against her, making released a groan in her mouth, Azriel never wanted to stop feeling like this.

Kallista's heart felt like she was falling, her right hand slides from the back of his neck to his cheek, and unfortunately the air in their lungs was scarce and they pulled away, they were breathing heavily.

He put his forehead against her, their noses touching again. They both sigued in relief to have finally kissed eachother after weeks of Azriel's denying and Kallista's pinning, they finally kissed.

It seems that Kallista's plan worked after all
