Kallias winnowed them to the winter court, deciding to go directly home instead of some other fae that chose to stay under the mountain for the night.

Her brother knew that she didn't wish to spend another moment there and neither did he.

As the haziness of the travel faded her eyes focused on the snow, as fine and white as she remembered it.

The trees covered over with a blanket of snow and white mountains at the far sight. She realized they were standing in the start of a stone road, a very familiar stone road.

She rose her eyes and found tue capital city. Her beloved city in which she held many memories.

The tall ice towers were almost intact except for one that seemed to have collapsed, the chimneys blowing out smile from their fireplaces into the cold wind.

And of course the like crystal castle standing mighty at the edges of the city over the white hills.

Her brother started to walk with her in the stone road. When they reached the entrance of the city, the people that to were going on with their day, stopped and watched as the royals walked among them after all those years.

A knot formed in her throat as her eyes scanned the white city, going from the people working on their stalls to the kids playing in the streets.

It was home.

Some of the men took of their hats in sign of respect towards them and some of the women, touch their hands to their lips and extended them towards the siblings.

They walked in the main road until they reached, the wide majestical ice bridge that lead to the enormous blue castle at the end.

The guards guarding the bridge had wide eyes as the others did too. With a nod from Kallias they took a step on the bridge, the bridge lighting under their steps.

They walked and walked the hundred steps, the air growing colder and more ferocious, the white mountains now up close.

As they arrived at the top, someone was waiting for them there.

Meters away, Vivianne stood just in front of the door, her eyes crystallized with tears as she looked at Kallias.

Kallista turned to look at her brother who was also looking at Vivianne, her lips turned up a little.

"Go"

He looked at her once before sprinting towards his love.

And as the princess watched them reunite she remembered that there was no one waiting for her like Vivianne waited for Kallias.
