The last trial.

The one that would mean the saving or doom of Phrytian.

The one that rested on Feyre's shoulders, poor human Feyre, blinded by the love of stone hearted man.

But she couldn't judge, she herself had done the same, and look where it had gotten her.

Feyre had tried to talk to her, the night before, but Kallista had barely heard her because of the pain.

She had slept even when Rhysand had stopped by to check on Feyre, her eyes could barely be kept open.

But she managed to will herself enough to open her eyes and talk - even it it was ragged and dry - when they took Feyre.

"And you really don't know what the answer is?" Kallista questioned from her cell.

"I have think for hours of the answer, but I just can't seem to think about the correct one"

"I know you can do it, Feyre, I believe in you"

And as Feyre left, her whispers followed her.

Feyre and the guards arrived to the doors unnoticing the blue wisp of energy entangling in Feyre's brown hair.

But this time there wasn't any shouts or jeers to be thrown, the whole room was silent, as if all of them have finally realized Feyre could free them from this terrible curse.

The world rested on her shoulders.

As Feyre's passed them a few of them touched their fingers to their lips and extended them to her, a sign of farewell in Phrythian.

The human swallows hard and walks all the way to Amarantha. Who waited for her with a red smirk in her throne.

"Two trials lie behind you, and only one more awaits, I wonder if it will be worse to fail now - when you are so close" the Queen gave a pout in fake sadness. But unlike the last trial, there was no laughing.

Amarantha seemed to realized this and started to glare at everyone but then her gaze fell on Feyre again and she smiled sweetly "Any words to say before you die?"

Feyre looked at the high lord of a Spring for a few seconds "I love you, no matter what she says about it, no matter if it's only with my insignificant human heart. Even when they burn my body, I'll love you"

Kallista wonder what Rhysand might have felt at hearing those words, hearing his mate say it to his mortal enemy, that her heart was his, she wondered if his heart broke like hers did.
