She could here Feyre's sobs all the way to her cell unstopping. She was in between two options, one to comfort her until she felt a bit better, two, to tell her to sob a little more silently.

And every minute without sleeping she was inclining more to the latter. But she couldn't, Feyre had to let her pent up emotions out, and well she was almost killed by hot poles some days ago.

Until a change in the air happened and she sensed that someone was there, in Feyre's cell.

"Still weeping?" The voice of Rhysand questioned. And Kallista rolled her eyes, silently thanking him for the interruption of Feyre's crying. She really did not want to hear how Rhysand was trying to woo Feyre right now.

"He licked your face?" Kallista questioned with furrowed brows.

"Yeah, he said that he figured that would stop me from crying"

"Well it kinda did-"

"Singer!"

"What? It's true"

"Why are you defending him, you don't even like him!"

"Uh-uh, I never said I didn't like him, I am just indifferent about him"

The half wraiths appeared from the corner interrupting their talk- in which Kallista tried to get her out of that slowly caving hole she was in.

"I just hope he won't make me drink that wine again" Feyre stated.

"Don't worry if he does I'll slap him again" and finally after days of unsuccessful attempts Feyre smiled, a small one but still a smile.

Eris had visited her again, he snuck pass the guards once more, but this time, he had a set of keys with him.

"Eris, are you sure about this?" Kallista questioned holding onto the bars of the window.

"Let me do this for you, Kalli" He tried a different key when the last one didn't work.

"I don't want to get you in trouble" she explained, her blue eyes catched his gold ones, and his seemed to soften.

"Whatever trouble I get in, it would be worth it" He enveloped one of his hands around one of hers on the bar. Without letting go, he kept trying with the other things.

Kallista felt like crying, she hasn't felt other's people touch in years, the first time being Eris some days ago and now him again. She didn't know what to feel.

Suddenly a satisfying 'click' interrupted her thoughts, her breath caught in her throat at the prospect of being free.

The prince stepped back slowly leaving her hand loosing his warmth. Shakily her hand reach to push the door open.

Creakingly it did.

Her breath started coming fast as she took a shaking step outside of the frame of the door.

A choked sob made it's way in her throat, her knees trembling, falling into the floor. Eris catched her by the arms but sunked into the floor with her.

He hugged her tight to his body by the waist and she hugged him, her arms around his shoulders. She was clutching onto him, like if she were to let go, she would lose herself.

"Come on, we have almost no time left" He pulled away and pull her up with him, letting her lean into him.

They started walking to the exit, they were so close, so close to being free.

Until hurried footsteps were heard behind them.

Both of them turned their heads to see two of the guards coming their way, when they saw them they started yelling, trying to alert other guards near them.

As they were running to them, she threw some of her blue magic at them, they screamed in pain, as the mist it turned to burned their skin.

The princess turned to the prince as he was watching perplexed the scene in front of him. 

"You have to leave now!" Kallista announced and his head snapped to her as if what she had said was the most crazy thing.

"And leave you here?! I won't"

"You have to, please" she grabbed his hands in hers, pulling him to the exit, he shook his head repeatedly "please, if they trap you, you will lose everything!"

"But if I go, I will lose you!" She stopped to look at him.

"Please" she whispered last when they heard more guards approaching, he groaned impotently and kissed both of her hands.

"I will come back"

"I don't doubt it"

And then he left.

And the only thing she felt was a strong hit on her head before everything went black.

The sound of a lashing whip was heard and right after the sound of a painful groan.

Kallista was on her knees facing the wall, sweat running down her forehead and blood running down her back.

The sound of another sharp whip sounded before it painfully snapped on her back.

She refused to cry, she refused to let anymore tears in this dead hole. Only grunts could be heard from her small shaking body.

Her dirty rags were ripped on her back when the guards took her for her punishment. And this one she couldn't fight off. The only thing she could do was bare it.

She felt another slash down her back, it hurted, even tue slight breeze that ocasionally passed made the openings in her back burn.

"Don't ever try to scape again, stupid girl, or it will be the double of slashes" the guard holding the whip spat before leaving with the other guards.

She let herself rest on the dirty floor uncaring of the blood seeping down her back or the infection that might follow.

And as the princess layed bloody and tired on the floor, music entered her ears, beautiful grand music.

She was so close.
