They appeared in the shore of a frozen lake. There were trees around half of the lake that looked like they have been sprinkled with white pure dust, the bright white ice of the lake shinning like a thousand crystals, dazzling snow shimmering down that looked like if stars were falling down the sky.

Kallista went behind a bush to throw up.

"Are you done yet?" Asked Kallias only to receive a response that sounded very much like Asshole, while Kallista was busy finishing her bussiness, Kallias summoned their silver skates.

"You are so stupid" groaned Kallista after she finished and then made her way towards her brother who held her skates out for her.

"I supposed you knew the basics of winnowing, I mean everyone does" Kallias muttered the last part. Kallista chose to ignore her brother and sat on a fallen three to put on her skates.

When they finished putting their skates on, they carefully made their way towards the lake. At first they grabbed onto eachothers hands to stabilize each other and then slowly started separating to do it themselves.

Kallista loved to skate, it was her favorite thing to do apart from reading and being with her family. In a part, it reminded her of her childhood, when her father took time away from being high lord and took his family to the family manor that also had a frozen lake nearby, the same lake in which her parents thought her and her brother how to skate and where she developed a passion for it.

There she was gliding on the ice with the same grace as a swan, sometimes stopping momentarily to do pirouettes and each everytime perfect. She felt in a sense free when in the ice, like nothing could touch her.

"Showoff" her brother murmured, it made Kallistas lips turn up in a smile. One of the only things her brother couldn't master completely was ice skating, yeah he could skate like a normal person but never with the grace that Kallista had.

"No need to be jealous brother" Kallista replied smuggly while passing her brother and turning to him starting to skate backwards.

"As if" Her brother scoffed "Tag it!" Kallias said quickly at the same time touching her arm and skating away from her

"Are we really playing this game?"

"Yup" he said with a smile he really is a 4 year old Kallisa thought.

She started skating after him, for a few minutes the air was full of careless laughter while the siblings chased eachother. Kallista finally managed to tag him for a third time, and then quickly skated away while laughing loudly.

"Wait, my skates strings are unlaced" he turned away for a minute, he swears it wa shush a minute when he heard the cracking of ice and a choked screamed.

"KALLISTA!" She heard her brother screaming.

She couldn't move or even think for that matter, the only thing she could think about was the pain of a thousand needles in her skin, it's true that Winter court people could resist the cold a more than the other normal fae, but not this much, this water was freezing even her blood or that's what she felt like, she couldn't fight to get out it hurted too much to move and the heavy clothing was sinking her more into the deep blue waters of the lake.

Kallias without thinking immediately used his powers to to pull her out of the ice, the magic was trembling as if it was the first time he was using it, the body of her unconscious sister came out of the broken hole

He quickly brought her down carefully in a part of the ice that he was sure this time would not break, and quickly went to her when she was on the ground. He kneeled next to her, his knees making noise of how fast he got down. She was unconcious, he touched her face and she was cold as death, he cheched her neck for a pulse and thanks to the mother there was still pulse, barely but still there. Faster than lightning he scooped her in his arms bridal style and winnowed to the palace.

He almost felled down when he appeared again, with his magic he make the skates dissapear he was in his socks now but that didn't matter now he had to run. Groaning he started running towards the medics room.

"HELP!" He started screaming when he was nearing the medics door. People started appearing close to him recognizing the prince's voice and curious to why was he screaming for help, gasps where heard when people say the princess unconcious on his arms. Finally getting to the medic the door was already opned by the guards who had saw him running towards there.

Joni, the palace medic appeared from behind a door hearing the screams, when she saw the princess she rapidly started to help the prince putting her in a bed.

"What happened?" She quickly whispered while gathering the necessities.

"W-we were skating the ice broke and she fell under the water" He managed to say while breathing heavily, he turned around to look at the guards at the door and the little people who saw him wanting to know what was going on. "Tell my father to come, quickly!"

"Okay, I am going to need you to step outside, my prince" She rushly said while starting to take Kallista's wet clothes off, Kallias quickly stepped out. Joni put all the warm blankets she could find over her waiting body for the heat to go up and then went to mix a couple of potions together that would help her, when she finished it she quickly poured it down her throat careful not to make her choke on it. After some seconds she checked her pulse and much to her relief it was getting a bit stronger. Joni sighed in relief and went to make more of the potion.
