When she got settled in her room, in which her and Opal were now to live in, she went exploring the house, it was elegant, as elegant as it can be when it's called the house of wind.

She thought it was pretty pretentious.

She tried to hide her amazement when she saw a beautiful sparkling city instead of a burning black one like the myths told. It was actually quite beautiful not as beautiful as the winter court but a good second place.

Her room was pretty spacious, well spacious enough to fit her and Opal comfortably. She had to put a climate spell on her room to maintain it cold enough for Opal or well she was going to get grumpier than usual.

She decided to go explore the vibrant city while Opal slept comfortably in front of the fireplace. She passed the various halls enjoying the musky smell throughout the house carved from stone. She walked down the stairs looking at the various paintings of persons she supposed were the previous high lords of night. A cough behind her interrupted her, she turned around to see Rhysand and his faithful watchdogs.

"Where are you going?" The high lord questioned.

"I thought to take a walk around the city" she shrugged.

"You can't go alone, let me tell Nuala and-"

"I can walk by myself, thank you" she stated and turned back to walk to the entrance, she heard murmurs behind her and then the sound of steps. "I said I can-"

As she turned to look who was walking beside her the words stayed in her throat at the sight of blue siphons and hazel eyes.

"What do you think you are doing?" She asked once she recovered from her shock.

"I'm walking you around the city"

"No, you are not" she scoffed starting to walk faster.

"Are you going to walk down ten thousand stairs?" He asked and Kallista stopped on her feet "I have no doubt you couldn't do it, but it may be easier if you let me take you"

She thought for some seconds before groaning internally at the reason in his statement.

"Alright" she huffed walking back upstairs, Azriel hid a small victory smile and followed her. They arrived some minutes later at the balcony and she looked down at the thousands of feet of air below them. "If you drop me, my ghost is going to hunt you for eternity"

"Don't worry, I would never drop you" he said extending his wings in the air. He walked to the end of the balcony until his back was to the railing.

"Yeah, yeah. Actions speak louder than words" she moved towards him until she was in front of him. "So, how does this work?"
