After breakfast Kallista went to her drawing room with Alara.

She was sat in the big sofa in front of the fire place upside down reading one of her favorite books. It was human literature a rather scandalous choice for the princess to be reading, but there was just something about humans imagination she assumed it was because they often dream big in their small lives, it was about a prince fighting to be with the one he loved that was trapped in a tower, she loved how humans described love like this magical force that could beat the bad and the dark not like fae, some fae just thought that love is a fairytale kinda ironic, some fae just saw others as a prize or as breeding stock, something she herself has been subjected too many times, some lords had asked her father for her hand but he has refused all of them wanting her daughter to experience love like he had with her mother.

Her mother.

She remebers her mother, how beautiful she was inside and out, she was perfect. She remebers how in love her parents where they were mates after all, How her mother used to sing to her every night, how she taught her how to do her hair in beautiful and intricate braids, how she taught her to dance, how she would take her brother and her to walks around the villages and towns to visit the people and help. Her mother was truly the most kind-hearted person she has ever met.

She also remembers that faithful night. The night all the laughter died, The night were she saw her father really broken, her brother cry and herself and her heart in little million pieces. The night her mother died, was a night the whole court would remember. Her mother had just been going to the kitchens for she couldn't sleep that night, when a beast attacked her. the killer was never found but it left a name in it's wake. The attor.

She was the one to find her mother in her pool of blood that surrounded her head like a halo, the guttural scream that left her and the sobbing that proceeded alerted the guards that arrived after hearing her cries of help.

The whole court was devastated after this especially the royal family. There weren't festivities or dances or joyful reunions in years until the high lord decided that it was time to stop mourning someone that was already long gone and after going to the conclusion that his dear wife wouldn't want this he opened the doors to the palace again and celebrated her wife's life and love. Everything has been good after that.

"Do you think you'll find your mate?" Kallista questioned to Alara who is sitting in a chair besides the sofa- while still upside down.

"Well I don't know, if the mother seems fit I guess, and sit up your blood is rushing to your head" Alara replied while smiling towards her friend random question "Why?"

"I don't know, I just want to experience the kind of love my parents did, it seemed so....magical" Kallista explained with a whimsical look on her face while turning up to sit straight in the sofa.

"Everything here is magical if you haven't notice" Alara deadpanned

"haha, you know what I mean" The princess said.

"I mean yeah it would be nice, but not all of us have the luck of finding the one" Alara declared while smiling sadly. She knew her best friend was a romantic but sometimes she dreamed so far away that it was Alara's job to bring her down to earth, they were the perfect combination, a dreamer and a realist.

"I know" Kallista groaned "Kallias is so lucky" She muttered.

"What?" gasped Alara , did he already found his mate? truth be told Alara used to have a tinnie tiny crush on Kallias, but who wouldn't almost every girl in the winter court found him the most eligible man and almost the same amount of girls were jealous of Vivianne, but Alara wasn't she she knew it was just a tiny crush that eventually went away.

"Well don't tell me you can't see it?" Alara questioned "Kallias and Vivianne, it's so obvious all the looks and the way they talk"

"Oh my god, how didn't I see it" Alara exclaimed shocked, it's right all the signs are there now that she sees the big picture. "How did you know?"

"I dreamt of it, it was Kallias and Vivianne and they were married, they seemed very happy" Kallista grinned "That's why I always make fun of them" she giggled with Alara and that's how her morning passed gossiping and dreaming about one day having the luck of finding the right one.

"I am so bored" Kallias complained. while he dropped in Kallista's bed, beside her the next day.

"Well go do something with Vivianne" Kallista rolled her eyes jokingly still looking at the book in her lap.

"Vivianne is not here"

"Well bad luck then"

"Come on Kalli, do something with me like old times yeah?" Kallias asked with a childish smile. "What about skating like I promised you?"

"Mhm, I don't know didn't father say the court was warmer today, won't the ice be thinner?" Kallista asked worried but as she looked at her begging brother her resolve weakened. "I guess an hour or two won't be bad for us"

"yes!" the prince exclaimed and took her by the arm "Come on" and he dragged her out of her room

"Where are we going?" the princess questioned while being led by her brother who was walking considerably faster than her, making her have to run to be beside him.

"Remember when we used to go to the frozen lake near the Autumn border to skate?" Kallias said at the same time guiding her down a characol crystal stairs.

"Oh yeah I always loved the view, it's been so long since we went there, I kinda miss it" Kallista replied with a smile while remembering the happy memories made there.

"Well we are going there today"

"How? may I ask?"

"Well your darling brother isn't totally useless, I learned to winnow when you were away gossiping with Helion" Kallias said smuggly while openning the door that was at the end of the stairs, guiding them outside the white castle.

"Really?! Why didn't you tell me?! " Kallista gasped at the same time hitting him in the arm

"Ow! I wanted to see your shocked face" Kallias explained while looking down at her sister, they had stop at one part in the white forest behind the castle.

"mhm" She rolled her eyes "Anyways it's going to be colder there so wait" Kallista waved her hands in front of them summoning two heavy fur lined capes with her powers same as her father's leaving icee color energy behind.

"You are getting better at this" while grabbing the cape that was in front of him.

"Thank you" chirped Kalli while her lips turned up a little, she had indeed been practicing everynight.

"Now, grab my hand" Her brother said after he finished putting on his cape.

"ew" Kallista scrunched up her nose, Kallias just blankly stared at her "Okay, okay" she giggled and grabbed his hand

"Be ready, you may be a little sick when we arrive" the prince warned

"Wha-" Kallista didn't get to finish when they vanished.
