As the days passed so did her training. She had gotten considerably better since she started with Amren. She was not easy to please, she was strict and did not believe in gentle teaching quite the opposite actually.

"Faster!" Amren commanded from the sidelines as Kallista tried to get the targets faster as Amren indicated. Sweat beads rolled down her temples as she then moved to the side to have a better look at the next target. "You are being lazy, Kallista"

Finally she shot another ball of blue light destroying the last target until it was nothing but ashes. She breathed heavily as she turned to look at the small woman who only nodded once, but it was enough for the princess to feel proud.

She got off the platform and went for water, which she desperately needed. After refreshing herself she distantly heard the sound of paws hitting the floor. Her smile widen in a smile as she turned just in time to being tackled to the floor by Opal.

"Opal!" The animal lick her face in affection. "I missed you"

Opal had been in a small hibernation after their change of scenery, to let her body change according to the climate that was definitely different than in the ice court.

"Where do you want to go?" She sat in the floor and rubbed the white fur of her head. She looked up to find Amren looking at the creature curiously. "Have you never seen one?"

"I have heard of them, never actually seen one" the dark haired woman spine nearing them with slow steps. "I heard they are beasts in the battlefield"

"Well, I don't know about that, but this one is definitely a sweetheart, would you like to pet her?"

"No, I-" before she could finish Opal was already on Amren pushing her to the floor with Kallista. "Get your thing off me"

"But she likes you" she said watching as Opal snuggled to Amren.

"Mhm" that's all that Amren said as she wordlessly petted Opal before standing up and brushing her clothes, Kallista did the same however as she brushed away invisible dust she finally heard the flutter of wings she looked up to the sky and saw Cassian, Azriel and Rhysand flying to a balcony near them.

She smiled once again, and realized that she had been smiling a lot more lately. Maybe, there was something about the Night Court that made every broken person be one again.

She walked with rapid steps where the High Lord and his brothers had landed, Azriel immediately sensed her and turned to her and immediately went to her.

"How were the mountains?" She asked as she reached him and he took her hand in his.

"Cold, I got much to tell you but not here" he said taking her away from the rest of the group. "But first, tell me how has your training going?"

"Well, Amren is definitely though, but she is a good teacher, better than you ever where" she laughed and he grinned. They were definitely happy times.

"Wait, say that again" Kallista told him, her tea cup midway to her lips.

"Feyre finally found out, and it was not pretty" he said eating a cookie. Both of them where having a night picnic under the stars.

"Oh, I hope Feyre is alright" she seemed crestfallen by the news.

"Did you know Feyre well?"

"I'd like to think so, she was the support I needed to avoid going mad in there" she put her tea down. "And we also talked bad about you"

"Of course you did" He smile at her laugh. It filled his heart to see that she was able to be happy once again, and that she decided to life for and by herself. She did not deserve anything that had happened to her, even know he thought her one of the purest beings in Phrythian.

He watched as she laid on her back to watch the stars more comfortably. He laid back with her feeling her hand search for his which he intertwined once she did. They watched the stars for some minutes or maybe hours until Kallista broke the silenced

"Do you ever think about what would've happened if we weren't who we were?"

"What do you mean?"

"How would our story would've gone if we were normal people. I don't know, humans, two normal humans in one of those little towns described in books. We'd meet in the market, we would fall in love, we would get married on a hill surrounded by flowers, and then we would live the rest of our small lives together"

He turned to look at her and she was still staring at the stars but her gaze was unfocused imagining a different life for them.

"And what about children? Would we have them?" He asked with a soft voice as to not get her out of her daydream.

"Tons, I heard that for humans is easy to procreate and I always wanted a big family, so I'd like a lot of children" a  small tear went down her face, so small and light she probably didn't even notice she had shed it.

"Maybe...after the war is over, we can have that, I want to have that"

"We don't know what would happen in the war, we cannot make any promises-"

"We can" he sat on the floor putting the palm of her hand to his chest just above his beating heart. "I promise you I will fight to my last breath to survive this war"

Kallista hesitated for a moment before sitting up with him and doing the same with his hand.

"I promise to fight to my last breath to survive this war"
