10 November 2021

10 days have passed. I think I'm slowly giving up on this plan, it all seems fake. I don't know what I'm doing anymore but even if I was giving up on it, I was keeping my friendship with Louis. Who knew he could actually be fun.

Today we were meeting again, on a Saturday with 2 days until it's due on Monday. I slowly got up from my bed and started the shower. I unclothed myself and grabbed my shampoo and conditioner. What? A girl's gotta stay clean. I finished in the shower and got out, wrapping a towel around myself and walking back into my room to look for some clothes.

I decided on just a black tank top with baggy jeans and brown jumper. I need fresh air I thought as I grabbed an apple from the bench and made my way to my new favourite cafe.

I stopped outside when it said closed but smiled when I saw my new favourite friend.

Rory was my best friend, don't worry.

I slowly entered and got halted when a voice broke my daze. "Sorry we're closed." The feminine voice said, a girl with light brown hair and hazel eyes made her way from behind the counter.

"I know," I snorted, continuing to my favourite booth.
"So get out," the girl glared, her hand on her hip. That's when Louis decided to make an appearance. He sighed in relief.
"Thank god it's just you, I thought we'd have to throw out a drunk again." I raised an eyebrow at him as he waved his hand around, "don't ask, I'll tell you later." He slid into the booth in front of me and smiled. The brunette following after - still glaring at me.

"Annaliese meet Harley, Harley meet Annaliese." She still had her eyes half squinted at me even after the introduction. I held my hand out for her to shake, yet she didn't. I slowly brought it back in.

"Ok can she go now?" She hissed to Louis, who sighed and shook his head.
"I wish but sadly she'll be sticking around." I knew he was joking and bit back a smile. She however didn't get the joke and smirked, laying her head against his shoulder.

Should this effect me how it is right now?

It's been like 5 days of being his friend, shit I get attached easily. I guess that hug really did it for me. I smiled sweetly at her and turned back to Louis. "My house at 5 this afternoon?" I asked, playing with the serviette set at the table. Louis nodded and shook his shoulder away from Harley. "Please don't, you know that makes me uncomfortable," he frowned down at her. Harley rolled her eyes and scooted away from him a bit. I let a small smile grace my face at that.

"Well what can I get you?" He asked grumpily, obviously wanting out of here.

"Just a green tea will do," I smiled at him as he left to go make it. That's when Harley finally spoke to me. "Fuck off, he's mine." She got straight to the point.

"Don't worry, we're barely friends." I replied honestly, my voice monotone. She snorted.
"Yeah right, 'my house at 5' he probably won't show up," she said confidently. I rolled my eyes.

"It's for a project dumbass." I noticed Louis done and got up, "thank you," I said, picking up the tea and and waving goodbye as I left the cafe. How quickly had we become friends and changed from enemies? Maybe we never really were enemies. We had known each other for years. Once best friends until I took his spot as top in the class. And as competitive children, we obviously lost interest in being friends and worked to beat each other at everything. Him winning every comp in swimming and I in volleyball.

I didn't realise I had finished my tea until I lifted it to my lips and nothing slipped through. I threw it into a nearby bin and made my way to the library. I needed a new book anyways.

I didn't find anything there and groaned in annoyance. I had nothing to do today. I decided to invite Rory over and just try on random fancy dresses I had in my closet.

Finally she picked up on the third ring.

"Annaliese!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Hey man. Want to come over and try on dresses?"

We'd been over this so many times.

"On my way boo!" And with that she hung up.

I arrived home and sat on the couch, waiting for the girl to arrive. My parents were out still and were coming back Monday so I had the house all to myself.

Finally a knock echoed throughout the house and I smiled, answering it with a smile. "Hey Rory," I said, inviting her in.
"Where's the dresses?" She got straight to the point.

"Well in my opinion, Harley sounds like a bitch stuck on Louis. But from what I heard about the hug, he's all yours." Rory winked at me. I rolled my eyes.

"I've only been friends with him for 5 days."

"Actually 6 days and if we include the year before that. That's 3 years and 6 days." I smiled at her response and tried on the next dress, turning in my mirror.

"Shit, that's hot," Rory smirked, standing up and grabbing a navy dress beside me.

"Chill Rory, you have a boyfriend." She groaned at the reminder.

"He'll never know," she giggled, walking past and kissing my cheek. That's just how our friendship runs.

"Never," I exaggerated, pulling my hair up and really feeling myself in the dress. Rory let out another groan.

"Stop groaning whore, you're annoying," I lied, Rory let out a loud laugh turning her back to me.

"Can you undo the zip?" She asked, I nodded and pulled it down. She held the front up and walked back into my closet. Coming out in a violet short dress with no sleeves snd was very tight - bringing out her curves.

"Holy shit Rory." I complimented her, she giggled at my response and did a 360.

"We should go to a party tonight," she said happily, obviously impressed by her chosen dress.

"Sorry Ro, I'd love to but I'm working with Louis on the project tonight." She pouted at that, sticking her bottom lip out. I just laughed and ruffled up her hair.

"Take the dress and invite Zach with you." I said, putting my arm around her shoulder.

"But I want you to come."

"Maybe next time, I'm sure Zach will want to ask you out all over again when he sees you in that dress." That seemed to make her light up in excitement as she rushed to my bathroom and brought out all my make up products. It was only 2 in the afternoon and most clubs open at 4 so I'd expect her to take on her makeup and hair.

And she did, she finally finished curling her hair and left my house around 4:45, so now I sat in my outfit from this morning waiting for Louis to turn up.

I'm out of my schedule. I'm just going to post whenever :)
