You had started to date Remus when you were in your fifth year at Hogwarts and here you were in your early twenties still happily together as husband and wife. Everything was going the way that you had always dreamed. You were in your perfect job with your loving husband in a home that you were beyond happy with but there was one issue- your lodger. When you first moved in with Remus after Hogwarts, he asked if Sirius could live with you for a couple of months until he could find a place of his own. You agreed but it was years later and now you were still stuck with him as an overgrown child.
Most of the time you didn't mind too much having him there but with your recent news coming to light, it was hard to think about being a parent to two.
As soon as you found out you were pregnant, you rushed to tell your husband, having both been excited for this moment to happen for you. A grin was prominent on your face as you rushed into his study.
"What's making you so happy?" He chuckled as you pulled him into a tight embrace.
"I have the most wonderful news," you smiled. "Remus, I'm pregnant."
It took him a moment for the information to settle in his mind before his expression mirrored yourself and he lifted you up into the air, excitedly.
"I can't believe it," he grinned. "We're having a child?"
You nodded your head. "A second to join our oversized adopted son."
Although Sirius was a friend to the two of you, since living together the dynamic had definitely happened ended with it seemingly like he was your child due to his immature personality and reliance on the two of you.
"So, how are we going to break the news to Sirius that they are going to have a new brother or sister?" You chuckled.
"He won't be happy," Remus stated. "I'm sure it will be a lot for him to adapt to for him to not being the centre of our attentions, but he can either get used to it or move in with James and Lily."
"I prefer the second option."
He agreed with you on that before he began to hug you once more, both of you falling back into the excitement that came from knowing that you were to bring a child into the world.
