A grand tree stood in the middle of your lounge, humble compared to the one you had become used to at Hogwarts, but as you lived in a small cottage compared to the castle you had been to school in. It was a rather different Christmas being in the south of England in a cottage with your girlfriend compared to having grown fond of the snowy Scottish festive season. Fleur had never had a Christmas in England, she had spent one Christmas at Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament, however the weather had been chilly and pleasant, but it wasn't the case now.

The air was crisp with the winter breeze; however, no snow fell, the ground was frozen solid, but still bear the damp green grass, no white sheet coating it as you had desired. A white Christmas was a lost cause for you. You had always wanted one, you were lucky enough to have had one seven years on the trot whilst at Hogwarts, but it failed you here in your cottage.

You stared longingly out of the window, having already exchanged gifts, leaving you to wait for lunch to roll around, that Fleur was cooking. The French woman that you loved came up behind you, pressing a gentle and sweet kiss to your cheek.

"Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas, mon amour?" Fleur smiled softly.

Trying not to put a damper on such a merry day, you tried to fake a smile; she saw right through it.

"Do not try to lie to me Y/N," she said trying to be stern with you.

You let out a bitter and pained sigh. You wished you could be happy, but without the air of the festive season, it just didn't seem right.

"I'm sorry Fleur. I just don't feel the merriment without there being any snow," you frowned, feeling terrible that you were ruining the merriment for not only yourself but for your loving girlfriend too.

She gave you a gentle sympathetic smile as she ran her hand across your cheek. Fleur leaned in placing a little kiss to the tip of your nose as a simple gesture of her love and care that she had for you.

"It is a hard feat, I do miss the snow around this time of the year. However, there is a way around that my dear," she smiled with a blissful warmth that almost made you forget that only mere moments ago you were longing for the snow.

Fleur pulled away, reaching for her wand that was on the windowsill beside you. She silently waved her wand gently above her. Snowflakes begun to fall from nowhere, adding an extra chill to the air, and a smile to your face.

"The perfect Christmas, for the perfect woman," she grinned, kissing you lovingly on the lips.
