When Ron had told you that he would be leaving to hunt Horcruxes with Harry and Hermione, you thought he had gone barmy- he hadn't. It had been months since you had last seen him, having not made contact with you since he left. You knew why he hadn't contacted you. If he did it would have put you in danger, or the three of them. They were doing their best to be hidden so they could find all the horcruxes and take down Voldemort; you weren't going to be selfish and try to have your boyfriend back and allow the world to suffer under his reign.

When Ginny, ran to get you, you assumed the Carrow's had done something horrific again, but that wasn't the case. It was an amazing thing instead. Ginny lead you to where students were all crowding the trio. They looked tatty and as though they'd been dragged through a hedge backwards; you couldn't imagine what they had been through. Although you were glad that Hermione and Harry were okay, you were far too busy making your way over to the redhead that you were in love with.

"Ron!" You squealed, tackling him with a bone crushing hug.

He wobbled on his feet as he tried to wrap his arms around you, to hold you close and not let you leave his side. It had been too long since you had last seen him, and you had no intentions to ever let him go anywhere again, especially if it was a dangerous mission like that had been.

"Y/N," he whispered, leaning his head into the crook of your neck.

You were beyond joyous to have Ron back. Every waking moment had been fogged with concern over whether he was okay, and there had been many waking moments due to the lack of sleep you'd experienced due to the worry.

As he pulled his head away, you couldn't help but push your lips to his in a love filled and passionate kiss. You had missed him so much and you just wanted to show him all of your love that he had missed since he had been gone.

"I've missed you so much," he whispered against your lips.

He leaned back slightly to look at you, and a look of concern instantly washed over him.

"What happened?" He asked. "Are you hurt?"

You looked down to see your usual robes from Hogwarts, ripped and bloody, a look that most students had turned to un-willingly. There wasn't a choice but to survive here, and most of the time it was harder than a school should have been.

"No," you said softly. "Hogwarts isn't safe anymore."
