You weren't overly knowledgeable about the wizarding world.
It had been something you were completely unaware of until you were eleven years old, and at that point there was still a part of you that was nagging at you to convince yourself that none of it was real.
When you went to Hogwarts, you wanted to cling to as much muggle technology as was possible and Dumbledore granted you some of that – understanding how difficult the transition could be from muggle born girl to a witch in a wizarding school.
It wasn't exactly easy to get to know people, as some of them did frown upon muggle borns which was something completely horrific, however the people you did become friends with were pretty amazing.
Your two closest friends were the Weasley twins.
They had a questionable reputation, that was no secret, but they made a pact with you to never prank you as long as you agreed to help them sometimes – you couldn't exactly turn down a deal like that.
It wasn't until your second to last year that Fred asked you out.
At first, to you it was a joke, you didn't think that Fred would be asking you out and you had yourself thinking that they'd finally broken the pact by pranking you.
However, Fred was being genuine and the weekend after he took you to Hogsmeade for your first date and it was lovely.
Four years on, you and Fred were still in a relationship and you had been managing to get him used to muggle technology as well as the muggle world as a whole.
You lived with Fred in his flat above the shop in Diagon Alley, but you had dragged him home with you for the weekend to celebrate your Uncle's birthday.
Your Uncle had decided to celebrate at a bowling alley, as it would be somewhere for them all to have fun and there was an arcade as well as a bar.
Fred was sat with you in the living room of your family home, all your other family already having left to get there a little early.
"Are you sure he wants me to come?" Fred questioned for the millionth time that day.
You rolled your eyes but laughed at him "Why wouldn't he?" you asked in response.
He sighed "Well...okay, I got nothing."
"Exactly," you stated, "We've been together for four years, they know of magic and a few of them are wizards and witches – therefore you've got no reason to worry."
He smiled at you "Thanks Love," he then leant down to kiss you after having spoken "Now you need to teach me how to do this bowling thing"
