Hogwarts was a great place, especially with the type of people that were there but of course there were some people that you just couldn't handle.

You enjoyed being at Hogwarts – it wasn't so bad not being with your family, you had been at the school for long enough to know how to cope with the whole idea of being homesick, plus you had some amazing friends around you that helped as well.

One of those friends happened to be the infamous Oliver Wood.

The two of you had been friends for such a long time, and it was one of those friendships where everyone knew feelings existed apart from the two of you and neither of you did anything about it. It was a miracle that the rest of your friends hadn't said anything yet.

Throughout your time at Hogwarts, you had been on the Quidditch team alongside Oliver and you most definitely loved playing.

Practise had been going on for the best part of an hour and it usually lasted for just under two hours which was all fine as the whole team got along great with each other, always keeping each other up beat and enthusiastic.

You had been stood off to the side with George for the past ten minutes, just taking a break as neither of you really wanted to continue everything.

"So, Y/N," George said from your side, causing you to look up at him "Have I ever told you how attractive you look in your uniform?" he told you jokingly.

You laughed and shook your head "No Weasley, I don't think you ever have" you answered him which made a smirk make its way onto his face.

George slipped his arm around your shoulder "Well you look very attractive" he whispered in your ear.

Rather suddenly, you were taken away from George and Oliver was standing in front of you "Really George? You have got to be kidding me" Oliver said with a stern voice.

George looked confused "I didn't do anything Wood" he defended himself but Oliver just scoffed.

You didn't want a fight to break out between the two of them, so you stepped in front of Oliver and looked at George "You should probably disappear" you told him and George went back to the rest of the team.

You turned around and pointed at Oliver "And you, Oliver Wood, are insufferable! I have been friends with you for the longest time, and yet you still feel the need to protect me. I love you for Merlin's sake, and you're too damn stubborn to see it" you rambled off many different things to him as well as admitting your feelings.

You stormed off from the team, and went to hide out in your room.

You couldn't even comprehend that you had just said that to Oliver, of course it had been building up for a while but still, you never thought you would actually say it to him.

Somehow, you managed to hide away from Oliver for the rest of the day and you were hoping to avoid them for longer but then you remembered about the Quidditch match.

As nerve wracking as it was to have to face Oliver again, you weren't going to let your team down by missing the match just because of what you had said to Oliver.

You had been sat in the changing tent for a few minutes, and then Oliver appeared so you got up to go but Oliver grabbed your wrist "What Oliver?" you asked, not being in the mood to have that type of conversation.

"Those things you said yesterday...did you mean them?" he quizzed with hesitation laced within his tone.

You crossed your arms, as Oliver had let go of your wrist, "You mean the bit about you being insufferable?" you asked in response.

Oliver sighed and shook his head "No Y/N. The other bit" he clarified.

"Oh...the bit about me loving you?" you asked very quietly and Oliver nodded "Yes, I meant it" you nervously admitted.

A small smile crossed his face "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" he questioned.

You shrugged and looked down at the floor, as you didn't want to look Oliver in the eyes "I couldn't. I never exactly knew how you'd react" you told him.

Oliver lifted your chin up with his fingers "I would've reacted well" he stated causing you to smile.

"Really?" you wanted to be completely sure that Oliver was saying it because he meant it and not to make you feel any better.

He nodded and placed his hand on your cheek "Of course" he stated "I love you too, always have" he confessed.

He leaned down to kiss you gently, your hands made their way around his neck whilst one of his hands rested on your cheek and the other on your waist.

The two of you pulled away from each other, Oliver quickly pecked your lips again before interlocking your fingers together "Now that we've got that sorted" he said as he started to walk towards the exit of the tent "Let's go and smash this"
