A frown was prominent across your face. You were far from happy for this time of year to come around. Granted you loved Christmas, it was your favourite time of the year and your whole family would come together but there was one day that came prior to that which you hated- Christmas Card Photo Day.
Your mum and dad insisted that every year the five of you should dress up all Christmassy and have a photo that would adorn all the cards they would send out to family. Your grandmother Molly frankly loved the idea meaning if your mum and dad wanted to stop the tradition they couldn't. It wasn't even though you had set costumes.
They had bought five but in you having a twin sister the two of you had two costumes you could switch between, not that your twin ever gave you that option.
The reindeer costume had been passed down from Teddy to James to Albus and then down to you and Lily in being the youngest. But in the two of you being the first girls your parents had bought and Angel costume too, a costume that both you and Lily had taken to fondly. However, Lily being the eldest twin she didn't allow you an option and forced you into the reindeer costume every year.
The Christmas tree stood tall in the corner of the room leaving the five of you to make your way around it in your festive costumes.
"Why do I always have to be the reindeer?" You questioned trying to move your antlers but due to the age of them they no longer stood as proud as they once did.
"Because you look cute in it," Lily offered as a response but you both knew it was because she didn't want to wear it.
Your eyes rolled at her.
Teddy laughed patting you on the shoulder. "Only the best people dress as reindeers."
"You're just saying that as mum and dad bought it for you originally," you pouted.
"May have been his originally but I was the best reindeer," James grinned, showing no shame from his candy cane stripped tights that went with his elf costume.
You all couldn't help but groan at his comment. Lily straightened her halo as your mum called out to you all to move into position.
"Teddy stand in the back," she dictated. "And put your beard on."
In Teddy being the eldest he was Santa Claus, a white wig hiding his turquoise hair and falling down his face whilst he moved his beard to hide most of the rest of it.
"Rudolph, put your nose on," you dad added, "And you and the elf get by Santa."
You reluctantly pulled the red nose onto your face whilst you and James went to stand by Teddy.
"Weasley Jr, and Angel on the other side of the tree," He continued.
"Dad," Albus whined at the joke he heard every year. They had in dressed in a gingerbread man costume, so your father made the same joke about the redheaded side of the family. "Shouldn't it be Lily, she's the only redhead?"
Lily shook her head, "No Al, Y/N already knows now that I am the true angel, not a measly gingerbread man."
"You're far from an angel," you retorted. You loved your twin, but she was a pain.
Your mother gave you a stern glare.
"Quiet you lot," she frowned. "Now everyone smile and say Merry Christmas."
