Even if you were completely happy in your marriage you had known from the beginning that your choice wasn't the best. Getting married in a foreign country without any family, without even telling them was probably one of the most stupid decisions that the two of you had ever done. You didn't really have anyone to tell about the matter but from everything Charlie had told you, he was from a close and tight-knit family whom would likely take the news quite badly that the second eldest of the kids had gotten married in secret.

Charlie had told you about the wedding that was thrown for his older brother Bill and even in the midst of a war they were all out with it, and that wasn't anything either of you wanted. Having had met in Romania in the first place it was the perfect place to get married even if he insisted that none of his family were there and as far as you knew they didn't even know you existed which terrified you for your visit to his family home to reveal your news.

His family were absolutely lovely, maybe a little intense at first, but in there being so many of them and you being new to the group, you imagined it would become easier to come to terms with.

You were talking to Fleur who was holding her young daughter Victoire, when your husband ran to your side holding you close and hiding behind you. You gave Fleur a confused look before you looked over your shoulder at the redhead that was clinging to you.

"Hello," you chuckled at him.

"Hi. Please protect me," he pleaded.

"What did you do?" You questioned.

"Accidentally unleashed my mother's wrath."

Your eyed widened. Although Molly was a fairly short and seemingly unthreatening woman, from what Charlie had told you when it came to intervening with her family she could be terrifying.

"Charles Weasley! How dare you?!" Molly's voice called out in the ruckus of the living room, silencing everyone.

"What did he do?" One of the twins called out.

"Whatever he did at least we aren't being yelled at. It's nice for a change," the other laughed.

"Yeah he's almost as perfect as Ginny in mum's eyes."

Everyone's eyes were focused on Charlie and yourself, making Fleur take a step away from you to get out of the direct eyeline of the rest of the family.

"How dare you get married and not invite us? Not even your Father and I. I have never even met this woman and you are married to her? No offence to you dear, this fury is specifically directed at my insolent son," Molly yelled, but calmed slightly when her words were directed at you.

"Come on mum, it's not that big of a deal," Charlie offered to try and be helpful- it wasn't.

She scoffed. "Not that big of a deal? Not that big of a deal?!" She screeched. "You are married and you didn't invite any of us to the wedding."

You winced not particularly enjoying having your mother-in-law so annoyed over the fact that you had joined her family.

"You made such a fuss over Bill and Fleur. I didn't want that. I just wanted something simple, and even if I told you that I knew it wouldn't come to pass. So, the only way to make it work was to just not tell you," he said softly doing his best to not infuriate to woman any further.

"Made a fuss? I arranged a completely simple wedding for your brother. This is absolute nonsense Charlie. You could have at least introduced us to Y/N. We didn't even know you were dating anyone, let alone engaged or married," she exclaimed.

Charlie smiled awkwardly at his mother. "Well that isn't it."

"Pardon?"

"We have more news," he smiled holding onto your hand.

The poor woman looked as though she would pass out if anything else was said to her that was unexpected.

"Um...well... we're also expecting a baby," you said trying to brace yourself if the woman was annoyed by the thought again.

She wasn't annoyed though. Her arms opened to envelope you and your husband in a tight hug.

"Oh, I am so glad for you two. It definitely makes up partially for the whole wedding mishap but after the baby is here we'll have to throw a family wedding but in the meantime we are going to have to get to know you dear as you are a Weasley even if we didn't know you had become one," Molly smiled.
