"At last, she'll be mine," one amongst the remainders smirked to himself.
You slammed the door of your room shut and locked it, throwing yourself on the bed. Your anger turned into tears that flowed from your eyes to the pillow, wetting it. Never in your dreams had you imagined that Namjoon would say something like that on your face.
"Stop overreacting. It was just a toad."
"You're just exaggerating things you don't understand."
"Huh... talking to you would just be a waste of time."
Namjoon's words echoed in your head. Holding in no more, you cried hysterically, letting your tears ruin your artful make-up.
After crying for a minute or two, you heard a knock on the door.
[Seokjin's POV]
"Y/n," I called out to her.
"Open the door, please!" Jimin said next to me.
"Go away, please! I don't want to meet anyone!" was the reply we got.
"Y/n, it's just us- me and Jimin. We sent everyone home. Please let us in," I said, expectantly.
"I need some alone time oppa, please," again came the same answer.
"Open the door or we'll break it," I warned her, though I wouldn't break it for real. But she didn't know that. I heard her tiny feet scurry to the door. But she didn't open it. What is she waiting for?
The drunk Jimin opened his mouth to ask again, but I asked him to stay quiet.
After a couple of seconds she finally said,"Come in, the door's open."
We immediately twisted the knob and moved in, only to see a calm Y/n quietly seated on her bed. My blood began boiling at the sight.
She just slapped Namjoon! And here she is sitting as if nothing ever happened!
I was beginning to wonder if this was the Y/n I really had seen all my life.
"Y/n," I started off.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, but I touched his arm, signaling him to stop.
"Do you have any idea what you did just now!?" I wanted to burst out at her, but I knew I couldn't. This wasn't the time nor the subject to burst out at. I tried controlling my anger.
"I-" she spoke, her voice quivering. Maybe I failed at masking my anger.
"You slapped him, okay? That too in front of everybody! His peers, your peers! He must've felt so insulted, did you think about that?" I let my anger flow through my words.
She stared at me, wide eyed. She kept looking at me, either processing things or realizing her mistake.
"Why aren't you answering me? Just how much did you drink today Y/n? Cause you're not behaving sane!" I shook her by her shoulders, but her expression remained the same.
I opened my mouth to again scold her, when a tear trickled down her cheek as she looked at me. A small gasp escaped her mouth and a bunch of tears began slipping out of her eyes.
And just like that, all of my anger vanished away. My heart shattered into two at the sight of my little sister crying.
"Oh no, no. Don't cry. Don't cry. Come here," I immediately pulled her into my embrace and she buried her face in my chest and wailed even louder, hugging me tighter. When she was done, I saw that my shirt was wet and stained with her smeared mascara. But that didn't matter for now.
"Don't cry, y/n," I caressed her head.
"Let's forget it, okay?" Jimin had to say out of nowhere.
This punk, he's still not sober.
I glared at him, obviously asking him to zip his drunk mouth up.
Poor girl, how can she forget what happened? She slapped Namjoon. She must be feeling so guilty.
"I know, you feel guilty. That's why you must apologize to him, okay?"
"No! He deserved it," she pulled out of the hug and said, which puzzled me.
