Benicia stood in the hallway outside of Matt's apartment for a couple of seconds. She was still not feeling one hundred percent herself. She took a cold shower and then went to sleep. She woke up a little groggy but it was better than what she had originally felt. She was originally going to go visit Rhea first, but Zoe mentioned that Rhea was going to have a quick medical checkup. When Benicia asked Zoe what for, she just said it was a normal checkup that Rhea had as a trans woman. And since Benicia didn't know enough, she just chose not to question it.

Finally, Benicia approached Matt's door and knocked. "Matt, it's Benicia." She stared at the door for a couple of seconds, "Come on, open the door. I can't get a hold of Foggy and there's nobody at the office." She pinched the bridge of her nose, "What the hell is going on?" She knocked again since she knew he was inside, "Matt-"

Matt opened the door to his apartment. Benicia wasn't sure what she was expecting but it wasn't that. He was in gray sweatpants and a darker gray shirt. His face was covered in bruises and had a few scratches. Benicia could even see bruises trailing up and down his arms. He wasn't wearing his glasses like usual, which really highlighted the bruises around his eyes.

"Oh, my God..." Benicia murmured, "You look like shit."

Matt groaned as he backed away from the door so she could let herself inside. "Then I'm looking better than I feel."

Benicia wasn't sure how to even respond to that. She shut the door behind her and slowly stepped into his apartment, "We gonna sue?" She dropped her bag on the side table by the door and took her hoodie off before tying the balloon to her bag so it wouldn't float away, "We should sue. You know, whoever hit you, we should go after 'em and..." Her voice trailed off at the sight of his apartment being kind of trashed. "What kind of car was it? Please tell me it was, uh, expensive and German."

Matt put his glasses on and pulled a beer out of his fridge with a sigh, "Japanese and it was my fault. I, uh, should have been more careful."

Benicia kept staring back at the broken screen that connected to his room, "What the hell happened in here?"

"Nothing." Matt paused at the kitchen counter, "Don't worry about it."

"Uh... Okay, I won't say anything else... I'll just-" Benicia heard the cap of the beer being popped off and turned her head to look at him, "Don't you think it's a little early for a beer?"

"Depends on the kind of day you're having." Matt pointed toward his fridge, "You, uh, you want one?"

"No thank you." Benicia immediately said no and made a face. She didn't like drinking, plus, beer tasted absolutely nasty to her. She cleared her throat and messed with her sleeves, "So where were you when this car hit you?"

"Uh..." Matt reached out for his chair and sat in it, "Does it matter?"

Benicia crossed her arms over her chest as she watched Matt, "I'm thinking it might... If there really wasn't any car."
