Benicia rolled over in her bed tiredly as she stared up at the roof of her room. The previous night was a mess. Zoe was rightfully upset because there was now a possibility that Karen could go to jail. Benicia knew she had to do something to help because she shouldn't have said anything. Benicia wasn't thinking about it until she saw the picture of Wesley. That was when she remembered what Karen had told her. And then Benicia knew she shouldn't have said anything but she had already dug herself in a hole.

Finally, Benicia got up from her bed and sighed heavily. She walked into the bathroom and turned the faucet on. She splashed cold water on her face and turned her head only to see the body of someone through her wall. She picked her glasses up and heard rustling. She grabbed the nearest thing to her to use as a weapon. Which happened to be the tank cover to her toilet.

Slowly, Benicia walked around the corner but cursed at the sight of Matt in his black suit from when she first met him as Daredevil.

Matt turned around and faced her, "Hey, Benicia."

Benicia shook her head and leaned against the wall, "You need to pay me back for all your fucking rent." She turned away from him and went back to her bathroom to put the tank cover back in place. She wasn't sure how she'd react to seeing him but the lack of reaction made a lot of sense. She felt drained and somehow seeing him only reminded her of how tired she was. Or just how scared she was.

Benicia didn't even bother to walk into her living room area. She moved into the kitchen and just started to make her morning coffee. She was going to need the caffeine. She leaned down on the counter slightly as she felt him move. Her stupid powers were irritating her because now she was very aware of him

"I've been staying where I grew up." Matt told her as he walked into the kitchen, "There's a reason I stayed away, Benicia."

She still didn't turn around as she grabbed creamer for her coffee, "Yeah, yeah. If you tell me it was to protect me, I'm seriously going to throw up."

"I can't protect you." Matt heard the cabinet slam shut, "Not from Fisk. Can't even protect myself."

Benicia pulled another mug out of her cabinet, "Do you want any coffee?"

"If you want to yell at me... go right ahead."

"Yell at you?" Benicia's voice still didn't waver as she finally turned to look at him. He had taken his mask off to reveal his face and he cuts and cruises. "I should beat the absolute shit out of you. You know that?" He tossed his mask on the table and sat down as he listened to her. Nothing about her voice shifted, "But what would be the point? What does that even do? What for?" She walked up to him and set the mug down before she backed away, "You came to Foggy because you needed something from him. So what do you need from me, Matt? Because there wouldn't be any other reason for you to actually come see me, right?"

Matt didn't grab the mug from the table as he got up, "Fisk staged the attack on himself in prison. That's how he, uh, tricked the FBI into moving him to a hotel. Got some lifer named Jasper Evans to shank him and arranged for him to walk out of prison. On the books, Evans is in solitary. In reality, he's been set free."
