"Rhea, move."

Rhea glared over at Matt, "Seriously? You just called someone and then lit that dude's ass up with a flare. I'm kind of freaking out a bit."

"I can tell, but I need you to hide. An officer has entered the building. I'll handle him."

Rhea just exhaled before complying with him. She looked up at the rafters of the building before pulling herself up. She hung onto them and wished that Matt could see what she was currently doing. And at this point, she had to assume that he could tell what she was doing in general. As she hung from the rafters, Rhea ignored the cop that had come in.

Her mind was a little preoccupied with the dumb shit they pulled on Matt while in college. His senses were incredibly heightened this entire time. They had pulled pranks on him or gave him little white lies to joke with him. Rhea finally looked back down when she saw Matt knock the cop over.

"Oi-" Rhea hopped to the floor and grunted when she landed on her ass. She pulled herself up and moved over to him, "Enough with the choking of the cop."

Matt turned his head slightly at Rhea's voice but didn't move just yet. "I'm gonna take my knee off your throat. Stay quiet, answer my questions, or your night's gonna get a hell of a lot worse. Understand?" He pulled his knee off of the cop, "Who do you work for?"

"The City of New York."

"I'm gonna ask you again." Matt spoke slowly. He could feel Rhea's eyes focused on him rather than the cop. "Think about your answer. Who do you work for?"

"The City of New York." The cop repeated his answer, "I got two months on the job."

"Is he telling the truth?" Rhea questioned with her arms crossed over her chest.

"He is." Matt knelt down beside the officer, "Call Central. Tell him it was a false alarm. No need to send backup."

"I do that, you let me walk?"

"Yes." Rhea answered.

Just as Matt said, "Eventually."

Rhea gave Matt an irritated look, "Yes, we'll let you go."

The cop raised his radio up, "Central, Post 41 K."

"10-4, Post 41."

There was a slight pause as the cop looked between the two vigilantes. "Second floor! Perps in masks! Wounded civilian-"

Matt pulled the radio out of his hand and hit him over the head with it. He released a long sigh as he listened to the other end of the radio.

"10-4, Post 41. 10-13, 10-13. Abandoned building, 47th and 12th, second floor."

"Roger that. Adam responding."

"Fifteenth Squad en route."

Rhea put her hands in her hair and pulled her mask off for a moment, "This is fucking ridiculous. What is even going on? Is this a gang war?"
