Karen had Zoe's hand in her own as they walked to Rhea and Zoe's shared apartment. "So I take it tonight was good?"
"It was good." Zoe murmured softly while stopping in front of the main doors. She kept her hand in Karen's as she took a few steps on the cement stairs, "It was really good."
"As good as the tacos?" Karen teased before putting her hands onto Zoe's hips. With the two steps, it actually made Zoe closer to her height. "I didn't expect to see you chug four cups of water after having the sauce though."
Zoe wanted to hide her face but had absolutely nothing to do so, "I didn't know it was going to be spicy."
"I did give you a warning."
"Well, I'm stupid."
Karen hummed with a nod and had that small grin on her face. She took another step closer to Zoe and tucked some of her hair from her face, "It's cute."
"That I'm stupid?"
"That you're flustered." Karen answered truthfully, "Apparently it's something that rarely happens. Since you're such a flirt."
"I'm not that much of a flirt."
"Mmhm." Karen absentmindedly tucked more of Zoe's hair behind her ear, mainly to keep her palm against her cheek, "How do you feel about kissing on the first date?"
"What?"
Karen took a step closer so their faces were nearly touching, "I asked-" She pecked Zoe's nose, "-What you thought about kissing on the first date?"
Zoe wrinkled her nose up as she felt her cheeks burning, "Will there be more dates?"
"Yes." Karen pecked Zoe's lips with a grin, "More dates and more kisses."
"Then I don't mind kissing on the first date."
"Good girl." Karen whispered before pressing her lips against Zoe's.
Zoe brought her arms up and around Karen's neck. Her lips were just as soft as Zoe had expected and the entire kiss was so gentle that Zoe felt like she was melting. It could have been how hot her cheeks were burning too.
Karen pulled back from her and laughed softly, "You didn't want to let go, didn't you?"
"Not really." Zoe admitted sheepishly.
Karen moved both hands to Zoe's hips and adjusted her so she was pressed flush against her, "I take it you enjoyed the date?"
"I did." Zoe started to play with Karen's blouse sleeves, "Did you?"
"I very much did." Karen kissed her again as she took a step away from her, but she kept her hands trailing down Zoe's arms, "And I do hope we can go on more soon."
"We can continue this date upstairs?"
"As tempting as that sounds, I think I'd like to have a relationship with you, Zoe." Karen held Zoe's hands now, swinging them slightly, "I want a relationship with you and I want to go on cute dates where you can come back to your apartment and gush about it to your roommate. I also want you to be able to rub this in Matt's face."
