There was something different about Rhea and Matt working together in silence. Usually, Rhea would speak and make comments. But she knew how important it was that the two be quiet because they had already fought ninjas in the center of the sewer system. Rhea wanted to talk with Matt, after all, he was still in that mindset that he didn't need anyone else. Or that he shouldn't have anyone else in his life because they'll only wind up hurt or worse.

Rhea stopped when she noticed movement in the corner of her eye. "Shit, Matt-" She was kicked in the waist which caused her to double over a bit. She quickly grabbed the ninja but it flipped her so she landed on her back. Matt seemed to be struggling as well. She dropped down to the ground and rolled out of the way before the sword could be driven into her.

She got up from the ground and looked to see they were ganging up on Matt. Rhea tried to move for him, but one of them slammed their foot down on her back. She released a cry of shock and accidentally used her powers. It made the ground below her crack and spread along the room. Rhea rolled onto her back and locked her legs with the ninjas so it couldn't move. She didn't release another yell, Matt had punched the ninja in the face.

Rhea accepted Matt's hand and she pulled herself off the ground, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

Rhea just scowled at him as he started to make his way to where Stick was. Or that was what Rhea assumed. It made the most logical sense since he could hear really well.

Karen was curled up on the bed beside Zoe with a book in her hand. Zoe was no longer high off morphine, primarily to test the pain and how well Zoe could tolerate it. So far, she was taking the pain well, but the nurse did say that could change once all the morphine was out of her system.

Karen was currently reading Avelynn, a novel by Marissa Campbell. She glanced at the time and then over at Zoe, "How are you feeling?"

"Like I went through surgery." Zoe admitted with a soft groan, "I think I'll need pain meds..."

"I'll see what the doctors can prescribe to you." Karen slipped a bookmark to keep her place in the novel, "They said you can be checked out in a few days. Do you feel any cramping? Or maybe bloating?"

"Not really, but I think it's because the actual gunshot wound hurts more than the colonoscopy." Zoe shifted slightly to try and get comfortable but it just hurt to move, "Ugh, ow... This is going to suck."

"The recovery is going to be maybe... two weeks."

Zoe sent Karen puppy dog eyes and puffed out her bottom lip, "Does this mean no sex?"

Karen snorted an put the book down on the table beside the hospital bed, "Yes, it means no sex. You move too much and can't keep still. Especially when you cum."

"But-"

"Nope." Karen swung her legs over the bed and jumped off the bed. Her bare feet touched the ground and she walked over to her chair, "I'd like my girlfriend fully operational as soon as possible. So, no crazy activities that can cause you to open your stitches."
