Benicia glanced down at her phone when she heard it buzz but was distracted when Foggy suddenly cursed out, "Shit, it's not an assistant, it's the actual DA."

Karen got up from her seat and turned her head, "That's Reyes?"

Zoe blew a long huff of air from her mouth, "In all her defense-attorney-destroying glory."

Foggy shifted a bit as he adjusted his tie, "How do I look?"

Benicia never looked at the message on her phone as she tucked it into her back pocket, "Uh, semi-professional." She noticed the looks that she received from Zoe and Karen before adding, "I'm kidding Foggy. You look fine. You'll be fine."

Foggy gave her a look of disbelief but still mumbled, "Okay..."

Reyes wasn't even looking at them as she spoke, "Are they the ones that brought in Grote?"

"Um-" Foggy extended his hand for her to shake, "Franklin Nelson, of Nelson and Murdock." When he realized she wasn't going to shake his hand, he dropped it immediately, "This is one of my partners, Zoe Mercier. And these are our associates, Karen Page and Benicia Duterte."

Without a second glance, Reyes turned her head away from them, "Officers, I want you to prepare Mr. Grote for transport."

Foggy shifted a bit uncomfortably, "Excuse me, but, transport where, exactly?"

Further ignoring him, Reyes continued, "Once he's in our custody, I want you to personally handle all the arrangements-"

"Just to put it out there-" Zoe interrupted, "Our client's already given us a list of his conditions."

Reyes finally took them in and stared down at them, "Mr. Nelson and Ms. Mercier, have you both ever negotiated a witness protection agreement?"

Foggy just hummed, "Well... speaking for my firm, I can attest that we're all very fast learners."

Reyes almost looked condescending as she tilted her head at them. She glanced at her assistant, Tower, which caused him to speak, "The District Attorney appreciates your efforts, but our office will be handling the case from here."

Karen scoffed, "Excuse me. Grotto is our client-"

"And it would b in Mr. Grote's best interest for you to recuse yourselves so he can ring in a legal team with more expertise."

Benicia nodded her head slowly, "Uh-huh, you mean someone you can push around, right?"

Foggy seemed to agree with Benicia as he added, "We had enough expertise to handle Wilson Fisk."

"I'll say this once." Reyes spoke slightly slower to them, "If, God willing, your firm doesn't collapse under the weight of the chickens and the fruit baskets you've been collecting from your indigent clientele, there will come a time when you need to ask a favor of the District Attorney's office. And depending on how this situation resolves, that favor will either be forthcoming or permanently withheld. Am I making myself clear?"
